I felt for Kid when he told Luffy off because his crew got done dirty by those traitors and he just wants his own people back

Those hidden ships Ashura kept all those years really show how much he actually cared about Oden despite acting like a jerk

Kid choosing to just walk away from Luffy, despite everything, was a move I totally understood. His trust in other captains has been so completely shattered by Hawkins and Apoo's betrayal that, to me, he probably saw no other option than going it alone. It's rough, and I'm curious if he'll ever let his guard down with anyone again.

Momonosuke standing up and speaking to those prisoners made me see the leader Oden wanted him to be and it was about time they stopped being skeptical of the scabbards

Using that Sunacchi phrase Zoro taught him was such a great detail and it definitely helped the prisoners realize who he was when he stopped acting like a scared kid

My stomach dropped when they explained Sunacchi because it means throwing away your name and wits and that is the last thing Momo needs to do right now

I was not expecting Ashura Doji to show those graves to Kinemon, but it really put into perspective how long twenty years actually is for the people who stayed behind and suffered. It made Momonosuke's speech feel way more earned because those prisoners needed a reason to believe in the future again after losing hope for so long.

The way the anime showed the prisoners doubting the time travel stuff felt very realistic, and seeing Kawamatsu cry when Momonosuke finally spoke up really highlighted the relief of that moment.

I thought the scene where the prisoners were crying and bowing to Momonosuke was so moving because the Kozuki spirit is clearly still alive

I am actually so glad Kid said no to the alliance because he has every right to be bitter and seeing those graves with Ashura and Kinemon made me feel the weight of those twenty years

Law getting captured and just smirking at Hawkins is exactly the kind of move he would make and it leaves you wondering what he actually has planned for the rest of the prison

My stomach sank watching those samurai charge ten years ago; I just kept thinking about how utterly pointless their sacrifice was because they couldn't just hold out a little longer for the prophecy to unfold. It makes me wonder if they truly believed in it, or if their despair just overpowered all reason in that moment.

The way the anime expanded on the scenes in the prison made the whole thing feel way more personal and the director did a great job with the atmosphere

Momonosuke finally finding his courage brought so much weight to the scene, and seeing all those prisoners bow down when they realized he was Oden's son was such a relief

The pacing in the flashback felt a bit slow but the animation made the emotional parts land and Wano looks beautiful even when sad

Wait talk about Ashura Doji because seeing his history with those graves was just devastating and it totally recontextualizes why he has been such a jerk to everyone since the start of the arc, and honestly the director made that flashback feel so much heavier than expected with how they showed the violence against the innocent families in Wano

Momonosuke actually pulling off that speech caught me completely off guard; I always saw him as just a scared kid, but his determination to honor his family's legacy really shone through, making me believe he's truly growing into the heir Wano needs.

I get why Kid is so mad and refuses to team up because he was backstabbed so bad by those other guys and he just wants to go his own way now

The flashback with Ashura Doji really showed the misery of waiting ten years and it explains perfectly why he was so bitter about Kinemon coming back so late

Kid just leaving after Luffy offered to team up was the most Kid thing ever and you can't even blame him after the betrayals

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 950 directly follows Luffy's impassioned appeal to the Udon prisoners in Episode 949, pushing the rebellion's foundation from words into action and effectively closing out the prison arc's emotional core. This episode serves as a pivotal bridge in Wano Act Two, transitioning from Luffy's personal struggle in captivity toward the broader alliance-building needed for the raid on Onigashima. What happens here sets the stage for the logistical and military preparations that dominate the episodes ahead.
