Holy smokes, when I saw Kid and Luffy in the same cell at the end, my jaw dropped! I'm so hyped to see what kind of chaos these two supernovas will cook up in Udon prison now, it just makes the whole arc feel way more intense and exciting.

The animation for the conqueror haki felt a bit weird compared to the old style but it still looked cool when those guards just dropped for no reason

Kinemon worrying about his wife after twenty years is such a small thing and yet it makes the whole time travel plot feel so much more personal and heavy

Luffy got dragged through the mud and seeing him all bandaged up in the dirt was rough but that haki blast while he was out cold proved he is still that guy

Did Kaido really just walk off like Luffy wasn't even a threat, leaving him in that mine bleeding? My jaw dropped watching that, and I'm seriously scratching my head wondering how our rubber boy is gonna bounce back from this one, especially when he looked so outmatched.

I lost it at those faces Robin and the others made when they saw the news about Luffy because it broke the tension after that brutal beating he took

Hawkins using those seastone nails on Law was a low blow, but the way Law had to retreat shows how dangerous things are getting in Wano.

When that final shot revealed Luffy and Kid caged right beside each other, looking utterly defeated, I felt a genuine pang of surprise. It’s hard to imagine these two captains so thoroughly beaten, but I'm betting that shared misery is gonna spark some serious chaos from them soon.

Shinobu really saved the day with that floor sinking move and seeing the rest of the crew safe was much better than watching luffy lose so bad

I was shocked to see kid in the prison cell right next to luffy and now they both look like they want to destroy the place

Those hilarious faces Robin and the rest of the crew made when the news broke really helped lighten the mood because the rest of the episode was just depressing until Kid showed up at the end and seeing them in the same prison cell together after everything that happened in Sabaody was just a massive moment that I did not see coming

I hated seeing Luffy all beat up in those bandages and it was so cool that he still knocked those guards out with his spirit while he was unconscious

Things are about to get messy now that Kid and Luffy are sharing a cell in that dump of a prison

Okay, my jaw seriously dropped when Luffy, totally out cold, still managed to unleash that Haki blast! It just reinforces to me how even when he's down, his will to fight is absolutely unbreakable, kinda like back in Impel Down when he just kept going.

I still cannot believe Luffy got dragged through the mud by those horses and Kaido really put him in his place but seeing Kid in that same cell totally caught me off guard

You could really feel the desperation when the rest of the crew found out what happened, especially since they have never seen their captain get crushed so easily by anyone before

Watching Luffy get hauled away like that while he was unconscious felt so wrong and it really shows how much of a monster Kaido actually is compared to everyone else

Okay, my jaw seriously dropped at that fish bone scene; I mean, how did that mysterious guy in the shadows manage such a thing? It made me wonder just how ridiculously powerful he must be if he can pull off something like that without even showing his face!

Kaido is a total monster if he can take a hit like that and still toss Luffy into a prison mine like trash

Luffy getting dragged through the dirt by horses was hard to watch and it really made the Udon prison feel like a nightmare before he even stepped inside

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode marks a critical pivot point in the Wano Country Arc, landing directly after Luffy's devastating one-sided confrontation with Kaido — effectively closing the arc's opening act. It transitions from explosive conflict to the consequences of that conflict, establishing the prison mine as a new setting and reintroducing Eustass Kid as a key player. Everything here is foundational setup, laying the groundwork for Luffy's path back toward challenging the arc's overwhelming power structure.
