Kaido crying over Doflamingo was not what I expected at all and he went from a sad drunk to terrifying in seconds when he looked at that poster of Luffy

Seeing Kid all bloodied in that cell was such a brutal reality check and it really shows the gap between the supernovas and a literal monster like Kaido

Kid getting absolutely wrecked and then tossed into that cell, while Kaido's practically untouched? That sight alone was genuinely unnerving for me, highlighting just how much of a monster Kaido truly is. I can't even imagine what kind of brutal battle led to that, and it makes me question if Kid will ever truly bounce back after a beatdown that severe.

I didn't expect to see Kaido as a weepy drunk and watching him go from crying to throwing a fit over those posters was actually pretty funny

I cannot get over how bad the animation looked during the Kaido scenes because it felt like a massive step down from when he first showed up

Kid must have some serious guts to actually try fighting that monster even if he ended up completely destroyed and thrown in a cage

It was really interesting seeing Kaido act like a total mess with his drinking, but the animation during those parts felt so off compared to his big entrance. I expected something more polished for a character this important. Seeing Kid all bloody and defeated really sold the threat level though even if the visuals were a bit shaky and inconsistent

Kaido being a sad drunk is the funniest thing ever, but he still looks terrifying when he starts shouting about luffy and law

Kaido going from sobbing about Doflamingo to raging at those posters was a surprising way to show off his personality and it makes him feel different from other villains

Jack, just lounging on the seabed like it's his personal spa, completely blew my mind. I thought Devil Fruit users were dead in the water, literally! What kind of crazy trick is he pulling to survive down there?

I cant believe how fast Kid got wrecked and Kaido was just sitting there crying while being a total monster

Carrot just constantly chewing on things is so distracting, but it adds a nice touch of chaos to the ship while everyone else is losing their minds over food

I have mixed feelings about seeing Kaido again because his first debut was so legendary, and this felt like a bit of a step down in quality. Seeing him as a weepy drunk was hilarious but the animation felt a bit off compared to before. Plus those four minutes of drinking sounds were just way too much for a single episode of progress

Kaido declaring war against the world and specifically the Worst Generation is terrifying even if he is a total mess right now because you can tell he has way too much power

You have to feel bad for Nami and the others having to eat whatever Luffy tried to cook and it makes you miss Sanji even more than the crew does right now

I couldn't stop laughing when Luffy finally saw a picture of his dad and his reaction was so late that it felt perfectly in character for him, honestly his lack of awareness is ridiculous

Kaido being a sad drunk crying over Doflamingo is so weird and funny at the same time and I didn't expect the strongest creature to be like that on his first big appearance

The animation for Kaido looked a bit different than the last time he appeared. It felt a little less detailed during the drunk scenes but his voice acting still makes him feel like a beast

The animation during the Kaido scenes was really rough and hearing him gulp for minutes on end was such a waste of time that made the whole episode feel like it was dragging

I was laughing so much at Luffy trying to make dinner while Sanji is gone and he just ruins everything for the whole crew. Then the episode gets so heavy with Kaido crying about his trade deals being ruined by Luffy and Law. It is crazy how he can be a funny drunk then turn into a monster who hates the rookie pirates

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode wraps up the Zou Arc, closing out a stretch of major lore reveals — including details about the Revolutionary Army — and pivoting toward the crew's next challenge. It bridges the gap between Zou's dense worldbuilding and the lighter 'Marine Rookie' mini-arc that follows, while establishing Kaido as the looming threat that will define the Straw Hats' trajectory for arcs to come.
