The pacing in Dressrosa is seriously dragging and I am getting pretty tired of the story cutting away from the main action all the time, but Bartolomeo using that Barrier-Barrier Pistol really saved the episode for me and it was so awesome seeing him turn his defense into a weapon to take down Gladius

I felt so bad for Bartolomeo when he took all those explosions just to protect Robin, but it made his final punch against Gladius feel way more earned

When Bartolomeo finally stopped messing around and unleashed that "barrier-barrier pistol" on Gladius, I totally cheered! It just showed me how deep his idolization of Luffy really goes, like he's genuinely ready to throw down for his captain in a way I didn't fully expect from him before.

I really appreciated the homage Bartolomeo paid to Luffy with his finishing move because it shows how much he looks up to the Straw Hats, but I do wish he had a bit more of his own identity in that fight instead of just copying his idol and regardless of that the animation on the barrier punch felt punchy and satisfying to watch
