Doflamingo is actual subhuman trash for shooting his own brother like that, especially after seeing how much Corazon cared for Law this whole time

I couldn't believe how much Rosinante endured, just to give Law that extra moment of freedom. My heart broke watching him silently push through, trying to hold on until the very last second for that kid's sake.

Doflamingo shooting his own brother while Law was trapped in that chest hearing everything is the most cold blooded thing this show has ever done

Corazon smiling through all that pain, just to give Law one last good memory, absolutely shattered me. I can't imagine the strength it took for him to hold onto that happy face in his final moments, knowing how deeply that sacrifice would impact Law's entire life moving forward.

Trebol and those guys really did a number on Doflamingo when he was a kid and it makes him look even more like a monster now

How could Doflamingo just stand there and let that happen? My eyes were seriously tearing up watching Corazon put on that brave face and smile for Law one last time, it’s just so incredibly unfair after everything the poor kid had been through, and I’m never gonna forgive Doflamingo for taking away that last bit of hope.

I cannot stop crying because of how Rosinante kept himself alive just long enough so Law could escape without making a single sound

My heart is actually broken after seeing Corazon force that smile while he was bleeding out just so Law would remember him that way instead of his dying face

It is wild how much Rosinante changed Law life in such a short time and that final peace sign was such a heavy way to go out

Sound cutting out when Law ran away while bawling his eyes out was haunting because it meant Rosinante finally passed away

Corazon smiling at the end while he was literally dying was heartbreaking and that peace sign he gave Law was too much to handle

Hearing Law scream in that treasure chest while the silence from the Calm fruit was working was the most painful thing this show has done in years

I am actually a mess after seeing Law trapped in that chest while Corazon got shot because that final silent goodbye was too much to handle

Poor Law losing the one person who actually cared about him while being stuck in a box is just cruel and the snow made the whole scene feel even more lonely

Law has always been so stoic, so seeing him break like that during the chest scene truly surprised me. When his powers finally wore off and that agonizing scream tore out of him, it was like I could feel the sheer weight of all the torture he’d been suppressing just flood out, and man, that was tough to watch.

My chest tightened as Corazon just *refused* to let Law get caught, even as his own life was draining away; what an incredible act of love. Doflamingo pulling that trigger on his own flesh and blood just reinforces for me how utterly twisted he is, and honestly, I don't know how Law survived witnessing that. Watching Law finally cry out in the snow, his voice finally free, was such a devastating release.

I really thought they would find a way out but Doflamingo showing no mercy to his own blood makes him the most hated guy in this show and Corazon was too good for this world

Seeing the family walk away while Law is right there hiding in the treasure box was so tense and Corazon dying for that kid is the saddest thing

The way the sound just cuts out because of the fruit power makes Law's crying feel so much more lonely, and seeing Corazon force that smile was devastating

I can never hear the phrase I love you the same way again after what Corazon said to Law and it hurts to think about how he stayed alive just to keep things quiet

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 706 lands at a critical inflection point in the Dressrosa arc, arriving just after significant backstory episodes that revealed the formative trauma and relationships driving Law's motivations. This installment transitions from those revelations into direct, high-stakes confrontation, channeling everything learned about Law's past into present-tense dramatic weight. It sets the stage for the arc's escalating final conflicts, making it essential connective tissue between character exploration and climactic action.
