You really see the contrast between the brothers when Corazon decides to prioritize a dying kid over Doflamingo and his entire pirate crew

The way that fruit was forced into Law's mouth, right as Corazon was bleeding out from those bullet wounds, felt like a punch to my gut. I couldn't believe Doflamingo could be so utterly sadistic, making Corazon's ultimate sacrifice even more heartbreaking. It’s hard to shake the memory of that desperation.

I was smiling so much when Corazon tripped over himself while trying to act cool because he is such a klutz and his heart is actually gold

Corazon is basically the father Law never had, and seeing him risk his life for that fruit proves it

Corazon choosing to be a clumsy mess but still pulling off a risky robbery for Law shows he has the biggest heart in the series

Corazon is the only decent person in that entire family and watching him throw away his safety just to cure Law of that lead disease is brutal

The silence of the Nagi Nagi no Mi makes that whole infiltration feel so unique and it really shows why Doflamingo never suspected his own brother was a traitor

I can't get over how much Corazon loves this kid when he has every reason to just walk away and it makes me hate Doflamingo even more than before and the way the sound just cuts out when he uses his power makes the whole theft feel so much more desperate and Law just looks so small in that chest

Getting the Op-Op fruit was such a desperate mission, but seeing Corazon pull it off for Law was worth all the stress

I am actually crying because of how much Corazon cares for Law and he really just went through all that fire and those guards just to get that fruit to save a dying kid

Corazon really went all out for Law, didn't he? I was honestly amazed by how he used his Nagi Nagi no Mi to snatch the Op-Op fruit, making those huge explosions totally soundless – it made the whole thing so much more nail-biting, almost like a ghost was doing it.

My heart was sinking when Corazon slipped and fell down that hill right after finally getting the Op-Op fruit because you just knew the guards were going to catch him and he is doing everything for a kid who isn't even his own son and that kind of kindness in this show usually ends with a lot of tragedy

The revelation about the surgery that gives eternal youth makes Doflamingo look even more like a monster compared to his brother and it explains why he is so obsessed with Law now

The way Corazon is so clumsy but then turns into a professional spy using his silence ability is incredible and seeing him get shot up at the end was so painful

It is so sad that the only way to save Law is for Corazon to basically sign his own death warrant by betraying the family and stealing from those pirates and Doflamingo

I was not ready for the sadness of this flashback, especially seeing Corazon lie to everyone just to keep Law alive for a few more days

Doflamingo wanting that fruit just to live forever is such a contrast to Corazon who is literally throwing his life away just so Law can have a chance to survive his illness
bloo_balloon's avatar

Corazon really stood out as a beacon of light in that absolutely twisted Doflamingo family, and watching him gently care for Law after all the horror Law's lived through just melted my heart. It makes me wonder if Law even knew how to accept pure kindness back then, after everything he'd lost.

I cannot believe how much Corazon did for Law and seeing him stumble through that base while bleeding just to get the fruit made me tear up

That silent fight using the Nagi Nagi no Mi was such a trip, honestly, I don't think I've ever seen a heist pulled off with such bizarre, quiet tension. It really caught me off guard how different it felt from everything else in Dressrosa, almost like a whole other kind of adventure had just started!

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode deepens the extended Dressrosa saga's most emotionally resonant subplot — Law's past with Corazon (Rosinante) — building directly on the previous episode's revelations about their mission and the Op-Op Fruit's significance. It serves as the penultimate chapter of this flashback sequence, escalating tension and emotional stakes before the devastating payoff in Episode 705, 'The Moment of Resolution! Corazon's Farewell Smile!' Everything here is designed to make what comes next hit harder.
