Suleiman really is just a fallen hero and you can tell he actually believes in his own justice even if everyone calls him a criminal

I feel so bad for Rebecca because the crowd is being so mean to her and she is just trying to see her soldier again

Zoro getting lost in the middle of a literal infiltration mission is the most on brand thing for him and it always makes everyone laugh

Usopp getting lost in the middle of a secret mission is typical but it makes a person wonder if he will ever grow out of it while Robin is doing all the work

The Toy Soldier training young Rebecca was actually pretty sad and it makes his mission to take back the kingdom feel way more personal

The Toy House reveal, and especially Sugar's creepy power to just poof people into oblivion and make everyone forget them, left me absolutely stunned. I kept replaying that poor soldier's situation in my head, imagining the crushing despair of being utterly erased from the world, like you were never even there.

The slow first half was honestly a slog to get through but the second half with the toy soldier's memories made up for the pacing issues

Block D ending like that was so confusing and cool at the same time because everyone just hit the floor out of nowhere. Rebecca looks like she is in shock too but maybe she did use Conquerors Haki to knock them out. It felt a bit slow in the middle with the Toy Soldier talk but his resolve is great

Rebecca just holding her own, even with that entire crowd booing her, genuinely surprised me; I figured anyone would just buckle under that pressure. My jaw practically dropped when she survived that strange blast at the end, making me wonder if she's got some serious durability or maybe something else going on to protect her.

Those sword movements from Suleiman were so smooth but then everyone just fell over and everyone is going to be guessing if Rebecca has Haki or something
keith_claes_165's avatar

The Toy Soldier actually made me tear up a bit when he was talking about protecting Rebecca because my guy has been through so much and I just want him to win

Suleiman was really putting the pressure on, but that ending changed everything. The mystery of how Rebecca stayed up while everyone else collapsed is going to keep everyone thinking all night

I definitely suspect Rebecca has some hidden power because no way she outlasted Cavendish and Suleiman without Haki and that cliffhanger has me stuck on the mystery of how she is still up

My brain just broke seeing everyone in Block D drop like flies and I need to know how Rebecca is the only one left standing because that was insane

Seeing the toy soldier and his history with Rebecca always gets to me, because he tries so hard to protect her even though he is literally a small tin toy, and the way the show explains how Sugar turns people into toys makes the whole situation in Dressrosa feel so much more messed up than I first thought

The first half was annoying because of the filler but the animation during Suleiman's fight scenes was actually pretty smooth during that part
kamaro's avatar

That reveal about the toy soldier and his history with Rebecca's mother was a punch to the gut. It makes his current struggle to save her mean a lot more
roy_mustang_116's avatar
roy_mustang_116
Usopp needs to stop acting so scared and actually help the Tontattas because his lying is funny but the mission feels like it is dragging on forever and he should just help
japas_282's avatar

The pacing in this episode was rough, especially with all the talking during the Block D fight. It felt like they were stalling for time until that weird ending happened

I hated seeing it confirmed that Rebecca doesn't have Haki because it makes her fight against Suleiman look so much more desperate and dangerous for her

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode follows the launch of Operation SOP in the preceding installments, temporarily shifting the camera back to the Colosseum where the Mera Mera no Mi tournament rages on. Rebecca's Block D battle deepens her characterization ahead of the major revelations and collisions brewing across Dressrosa. The groundwork laid here — both in combat and character motivation — feeds directly into the escalating conflicts that will soon pull the Colosseum fighters into the island's larger power struggle.
