Doflamingo just leaping off his balcony and flying through the sky with that terrifying smile on his face really sets the tone for whatever is coming next because he looks absolutely livid about his plans failing

Law really had me thinking Smoker was done for but seeing Caesar stab that heart and realizing it was Monet the whole time was actually insane Law is just on another level for that

When Law actually gave Smoker his heart back, I was genuinely surprised! It kinda makes me wonder what he's really thinking, like he's not just some cold pirate, and it definitely makes their weird rivalry even more intense.

Law is playing on a completely different level than everyone else on this island and seeing Caesar accidentally kill Monet was such a dark twist. The ending with Doflamingo literally flying toward them is terrifying because you know he is about to destroy everything in his path and Smoker looks like he has finally seen enough of the Marines and their lies.

You can tell Smoker is going through it after seeing how deep the corruption goes, especially with the way Law handled that heart swap.

Zoro helping out by cutting that rubble kept the momentum going while everyone was trying to outrun the explosion

It made me laugh how Nami and Usopp handled the escape together because their chemistry is just so good in those frantic moments

The Franky fight was dragging a bit but everything with Caesar and Monet made up for it since that twist was so cold

The way Doflamingo said goodbye to Vergo right before the explosion gave me chills and it felt like a weirdly respectful moment for a villain

I am still laughing at Caesar stabbing that heart because Law is way too smart for his own good and now Monet is actually gone and it felt so brutal for this show

Franky Shogun is so strong for taking those hits from Baby 5 and Buffalo. Her turning into a literal scythe was a cool look for her devil fruit power

I still can't believe Caesar actually killed Monet because he was too stupid to realize Law played him like that

Caesar thinking he finally won by stabbing the heart only to realize he just killed Monet is such a cold way for her to go out. Law really played everyone
tsunderekid's avatar

Law is definitely playing four dimensional chess with Caesar and Smoker and it worked out so well for everyone but Monet
shinji_ikari_180's avatar
shinji_ikari_180
The ending where Doflamingo is just gliding over the ocean while everything on Punk Hazard goes up in smoke was chilling. I keep thinking about how Caesar accidentally killed Monet because Law outplayed everyone. Seeing the Joker finally make his move after all this buildup makes the stakes feel so much higher now and Vergo's final scene was unexpectedly sad

Watching the Franky Shogun just stand there and tank hits from Baby 5 and Buffalo was easily the most entertaining part of the island cleanup

The scene with Monet and the button went on forever and ever and it felt like she was about to press it for ten minutes and it really ruined the tension of the escape

Law is smart for swapping the hearts, but how did Smoker feel pain before if he didn't have his own heart

Caesar thinking he was stabbing Smoker only to find out Law swapped it with Monet's heart was a massive twist that really changed things for the escape

The island is literally falling apart and Caesar is still too busy being a villain. He is ruining his own plans by stabbing Smoker's fake heart

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode lands deep in the Punk Hazard arc's climactic stretch, following Episode 619's explosive General Franky showcase and directly building toward Episode 621's pivotal confrontation with Caesar Clown. It functions as the critical bridge between the arc's escalating chaos and its endgame, crystallizing the crew's mission into a singular desperate push. Everything the arc has been building — alliances, rivalries, the island's deadly secrets — converges here.
