Punk Hazard has a cool atmosphere with all the fire, and those guys in the suits kidnapping the rest of the crew was a surprise

It really bothered me how long that dragon fight lasted because the manga moved way faster through this part but seeing Zoro decapitate the thing while flying through the air was still cool. I also forgot how funny the straw hats can be when they are just exploring a new island and find something totally bizarre like a man stuck in a monster

The animation during the dragon fight felt a bit stiff and the pacing dragged things out way more than necessary for a single battle

Why did they act like they never saw a dragon before because it makes the crew look like they forgot everything that happened during the warship island episodes

Luffy making that dragon bite its own wing was funny and Zoro finished it with that massive slice while flying off Usopps trampoline

My laugh at the end was so loud when they found that guy just stuck in the dragon and nobody has any idea what is going on

The title says Luffy vs the dragon but Zoro basically did the whole thing and the animation quality was pretty lackluster for a big fight

I felt so confused because they acted like dragons are new but they saw one on warship island and then people told me that whole arc was just filler

Zoro taking the head off that beast was the best part and Usopp actually helped out for once with that trampoline move

This burning island looks like a total nightmare, but seeing the crew get knocked out by those weird gas guys while the others were fighting a dragon was a lot to take in

Those talking legs stuck on the dragon were the funniest thing and the way this burning island feels is starting to get really creepy with those gas mask guys

That dragon should not be a surprise to Luffy since they met one a long time ago and even if it was filler it still feels like a weird mistake

I thought seeing Zoro take down that giant dragon in the middle of a fire was cool and it really showed how much stronger he got

The island not showing up on the log pose makes the whole place feel so much creepier especially with the giant warning signs and all the fire everywhere

Watching the crew get gassed on the ship was a shock, and seeing that new warlord teased really makes the mystery of this island feel a lot bigger

The way those guys in the suits just gassed the sunny was creepy and now half the crew is missing

Those masked guys sneaking onto the ship and gassing everyone was actually pretty tense and now half the Straw Hats are gone

I found the dragon design kind of basic and the fight felt way too long but Zoro looked cool when he finally cut the thing down

The improvement in the animation compared to the last few episodes in Fish-Man Island is huge, because that dragon fight with Zoro and Luffy was genuinely fast and exciting. I feel like the New World is actually going to be dangerous now that we have giant fire monsters and mysterious people in hazmat suits gassing the crew while they sleep

The way Zoro just sliced that dragon head off was so sharp and it makes the training he did with Mihawk look even more worth it

EPISODE CONTEXT

This is the second episode of the Punk Hazard arc, following the crew's initial arrival on the mysterious, hazardous island. The dragon encounter establishes the escalating danger level of Punk Hazard and tests the crew's combat readiness early, while the episode's closing threads hint at far stranger discoveries ahead—including encounters with a samurai that begin pulling back the curtain on the island's deeper secrets.
