A straightforward fight with decent pacing. It delivers action but without major narrative weight.

A continuation and skippable episode from the main story. But it's more funny than the previous ones. Luffy is so unexpected as always. I did nothing but laugh all throughout the episode, that it makes me tear up from laughing. It's the most hilarious episode of all.

I'm kinda disappointed. The showdown was pretty MID! On a positive note, has Grandpa Ryu finally remembered it? With the chase getting intense, will the Straw Hats escape this seemingly unescapable net? Overall, an okay episode—the fight was disappointing, but the story is great.

Luffy laughing while everyone else was screaming for their lives on that cart was hilarious He really has zero fear even when they are surrounded by fifty war ships

You can tell this is filler because of how random the cart chase was but it was still fun Nelson having a giant iron fence hidden underwater is such a specific and weird trap

Discovering that mural was actually cool and seeing the dragons fly in the flashback made the stakes feel higher Ryuuji deserves to go home after waiting a thousand years

Eric is kind of annoying and Zoro should have ended that fight way faster It felt like they were just dragging things out and the whole twist with the island felt like a waste of time

That cliff jump was so intense because it was so chaotic and typical of Luffy to just go for it, I really liked the mural scenes too since they gave the dragon some actual history and it made me feel bad for Ryuuji, that iron fence at the end is such a cheap move by Nelson though

Yanking Zoro off the cliff while the ship was already moving really stressed me out This situation is getting pretty scary now that they are trapped by that giant cage

Nelson is such a creep for wanting to turn poor Ryuuji into soup just to live forever That massive fleet is overkill for one small pirate ship and a cart

Wait so the island they were looking for was the one they just left, that is actually hilarious The dragon memories were surprisingly sweet and the whole mural scene looked really good for a filler episode

I think the Zoro and Eric fight was too short since Eric has those cool wind powers It felt weird seeing Zoro struggle against him and I just wanted to see him actually land a hit

Sending a dragon flying off a cliff was crazy and it somehow worked out fine Those marine ships at the end look so huge and that iron fence is definitely going to be a problem for the Merry

That cart ride down the ruins was pure chaos and Nami was doing the most work trying to navigate while Luffy was just laughing at the danger

Admiral Nelson is so disgusting for wanting to turn Ryuuji into an elixir, and the way he just laughed while his fleet fired on the Going Merry was infuriating

Eric mocking Zoro on the balcony for being a pirate hunter who can't even touch the wind was a bold move and his devil fruit is surprisingly dangerous

Zoro getting yanked away by Luffy right before Eric could land another hit was such a close call and now they are stuck between those massive warships

I really liked the flashback of Ryuuji flying as a young dragon and it made me feel so bad for him being so old and tired now and Zoro usually just cuts through everyone but Eric is giving him a lot of trouble with those whirlwind attacks and I am worried about how they will get past that massive fleet and the iron fence and save the poor guy

The mural in the ruins looked really beautiful, and seeing those ancient dragons flying with the people made the whole mission to save Ryuuji feel way more important

Watching Eric use those air slashes was cool for a filler villain and seeing Zoro try to fight smart by hiding his moves was a good touch

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode sits within One Piece's filler Warship Island arc, continuing directly from the crew's arrival at a solitary island and their ongoing search for the Dragon's Nest among ancient ruins. It escalates the conflict with Eric, who has been a persistent antagonist throughout this filler stretch, and builds toward the arc's climactic resolution in the episodes immediately following.
