Luffy walking through the crowd and dropping 50000 guys without moving a finger made me freeze. He is finally on that next level and Hody looked pathetic in comparison to that power

You could really feel the power shift when Luffy dropped half of that army without even trying. It makes you realize how much training he actually did during those two years away from the crew

It was so cool when Luffy shut Hody up about being the pirate king because that title belongs to him and he proved it by clearing the plaza in seconds

I really felt that Haki burst in my bones and seeing Luffy just walk through those fifty thousand guys like they were nothing made this whole arc worth it

The way Zoro just casually said Luffy needs to be that strong or he would take over the captain spot shows how insane the standards are for this crew now

It took forever to get to the fight but for me seeing the entire Straw Hat crew lined up against a hundred thousand enemies actually made the wait worth it

My jaw just dropped when Luffy used that Conqueror's Haki and all those fishmen went down like dominoes in slow motion. I totally get why some people wanted a wider shot to see the full scale, but honestly, seeing the immediate impact up close was way more chilling for me.

Luffy just walking through that crowd and making fifty thousand fishmen faint with a single glare is definitely the biggest display of strength the show has seen so far

Hordy talking all that trash just to watch half his men pass out from a glare was definitely the best highlight

You can really tell the scale of the power gap when Hody is screaming about his numbers and then Luffy just knocks out half of them with a single look
riza_hawkeye's avatar

I still have chills from seeing fifty thousand guys just drop at once and Luffy didnt even break a sweat walking past Hordy

Zoro saying he would take over as captain if Luffy wouldnt have been able to clear those weaklings was such a cool detail and it really hints that he has haki too

Watching half of the army just pass out without a single punch being thrown was a crazy show of power and it really shows how much Luffy learned during the training

Fifty thousand enemies going down in a blink is such a massive flex and it really puts into perspective how much stronger the captain has become compared to everyone else on that island

whoa, luffy's glare in this episode just froze me, i mean, he didn't even have to move and already half the enemies were down for the count. it really makes you wonder just how much stronger he's gotten since the timeskip, he's a true force now.

Hordy looked so confused when his men started collapsing and it was hilarious because he clearly has no idea what a real pirate is capable of doing

I can't get over that walk toward Hordy, and it honestly felt like the two years of waiting for the crew to reunite finally paid off in one single moment and watching half the battlefield just collapse from one look gave me actual goosebumps, especially since Hordy thought he was so big and bad before getting completely humbled by the future pirate king

It was cool seeing everyone together again, but some of the drawings for the group shots looked really rushed and kind of ruined the big moment

I cannot believe he just deleted fifty thousand guys with a stare and it makes me wonder what else he learned during those two years

I can't get over how Luffy just walked through that massive army like it was nothing and I think knocking out fifty thousand guys with Haki is even more impressive than that punch on the Celestial Dragon back in Sabaody. It really shows how much his training with Rayleigh paid off and now Hordy finally realizes he is way out of his league

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode marks the explosive turning point of the Fish-Man Island arc, escalating directly from Luffy's dramatic arrival at Gyoncorde Plaza. Everything prior — the crew's reunion, the political tensions with the New Fish-Man Pirates, and Shirahoshi's plight — converges here into an all-out confrontation. It sets the stage for the extended battle sequences that follow, establishing the Straw Hats' post-timeskip power ceiling and the ideological stakes that will define the arc's resolution.
