Luffy just dropping everyone with his conqueror haki was the best part. It shows how much he leveled up during those two years away from the crew

Sanji, seriously? I was laughing at first when he went nuts over the mermaids, but then seeing him actually bleed out like that made my stomach drop; I'm genuinely wondering if he's gonna make it to Fish-Man Island at this rate, which is wild.

I feel like the nosebleed joke is getting way out of hand now and it makes me miss the old Sanji who was more of a smooth gentleman. Using the blood transfusion as a way to show the history between humans and fish-men is smart though because it makes the prejudice feel real and dangerous for the crew in this moment

The way the fish men wont even help Sanji with a transfusion because of some old law is so frustrating. It makes the tension on this island feel totally different from anywhere else

I actually yelled when Luffy just stared down that giant sea beast and it folded immediately and he didn't even break a sweat using his haki like that

You can really see how much two years in that kingdom messed up Sanji and now he is literally dying from being happy

Fish-Man Island looks like a dream and the background art is so good even if the main plot right now is just a medical emergency over a nosebleed

Sanji really took his training too far because seeing those mermaids almost ended him and I cannot believe a nosebleed is a legit life or death situation now. It is such a strange way to start this arc but I like how it actually matters for the lore because the locals refusing to give blood shows how deep the tension goes.

I thought the nosebleed thing was just a gag but now he needs a transfusion and nobody will help him because of the history between the races

It was weirdly intense when the fish-men refused to save Sanji, and it shows how much deep resentment they have toward humans

All the mermaids showing up made the whole underwater trip worth it and they look so good compared to the old art

When Luffy just casually wiped out those pirates with a glare, then BAM, a Jet Pistol, I couldn't believe my eyes! It made me think about all the hell he must've gone through during those two years to come back looking this powerful and totally in control.

That gear second jet pistol from Luffy was exactly what this slow episode needed to stay interesting

I honestly thought the nosebleed stuff was just a running gag but seeing it turn into a legit life or death situation was heavy, especially with the history about humans and fish-men not sharing blood and it really makes the island feel more dangerous and complicated than the pretty scenery suggests and Luffy using his haki to protect everyone was great

The mystery around Jimbe and why he can't be on the island right now adds some good tension and anticipation for his return

Hammond and his group are such jerks for trying to take advantage of the crew while their cook was bleeding out on the ground

The law against blood transfusions really changed the mood of the mermaid cove and made the fish-man island history feel a lot heavier

Those new fish-man pirates are so arrogant for mocking a dying man and they deserved that haki blast from Luffy

I can't believe Sanji actually almost died from a nosebleed and it turned into a serious plot point about the island history and racism

Seeing Sanji fly away from a nosebleed made me laugh until it became a medical crisis and no one would help him because he is human

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming directly off the Straw Hats' long-awaited arrival at Fish-Man Island, this episode shifts from the wonder of discovery into the messy reality of navigating an entirely new world underwater. It establishes the crew's initial dynamics with the island's inhabitants — particularly the mermaids — and introduces key local figures like the Neptune Brothers who will factor heavily into the arc's escalating conflicts. The groundwork laid here sets up the political and social tensions that define the Fish-Man Island arc going forward.
