Ivankov is such a menace for making Sanji learn how to cook while being chased 24/7 and the way he just messes with him makes the whole training arc fun to watch

Sanji running for his life from the okama is actually kind of sad when you realize he has been doing this for months and the way Ivankov just trolls him is hilarious

Sanji choosing to stay in that pink nightmare just to get stronger for Luffy was a heavy scene, even if he looked like he wanted to die the whole time

I was laughing so hard when Franky accidentally blew up that whole lab and I wonder if that blueprint was actually a devil fruit or just some weird science project

I know some people think these side stories are taking forever but I actually like seeing what the crew is up to after they were gone for so many arcs and seeing Sanji have to fight 99 masters for those recipes is wild because he is clearly going through the hardest time out of everyone and my heart goes out to the guy because that island is his version of hell

Flashbacks in this episode looked surprisingly clean because they redrew the scenes instead of just using the old grainy clips from years ago

The way Sanji keeps his spirit alive while being hunted day and night shows just how much he is willing to endure to get back to the ship

It was absolutely gut-wrenching to witness Sanji's internal struggle through those flashbacks, and it left me wondering just how much a person can bear. His decision to stay, despite everything, felt like the ultimate act of self-sacrifice for his friends.

Sanji learning new recipes to power up the crew is such a cool way to show his growth as a cook and it proves he takes his role seriously

Luffy's Sky Walk move genuinely caught me off guard! It makes so much sense for his style, since he's always been a runner, but I wasn't expecting him to literally take to the air and just *go*. I'm already imagining all the wild new ways he'll use that to get around and fight, it's just so him!

It is kind of weird watching the Okama stuff now because the humor is definitely from a different era but you still have to respect Sanji for sticking it out

Those old memories of the crew really show why Sanji is willing to go through so much pain on that island just to see them again

The animation looks way cleaner this week and you can tell they are gearing up for the big change soon because the colors are so much sharper than before

Honestly my heart goes out to Sanji here, because being trapped on that island for two years sounds like an actual nightmare compared to Zoro or Robin. I know the show plays it for laughs, but he is genuinely fighting for his sanity every single day and the fact that he develops Sky Walk just to escape is such a smart move.

Sanji actually running for his life the whole time is so much worse than what the others are doing and he deserves a medal for surviving that pink nightmare

I feel so bad for Sanji because everyone else is getting cool training while he is just being chased by a never ending crowd and it looks genuinely exhausting

I feel so bad for Sanji because he is literally living in his worst nightmare and watching him run for his life like that made me laugh even though it looks like actual hell

I love that they updated the character designs for the flashbacks instead of just recycling the old scenes from years ago

When Sanji was going all out with his signature kicks at the end, that new track playing gave me such a huge boost of confidence in him. It really made me feel like he's not just training, but fighting through his own personal demons to get back to the crew stronger than ever.

Everyone else is getting these serious training arcs with masters or giant animals but poor Sanji is just trapped in a pink nightmare and he has to run for his life every single day just to keep his identity and it is honestly so much more intense than any other island because this is pure psychological warfare

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode falls squarely within the post-separation training stretch, where each Straw Hat is powering up independently after the devastating events that split them apart. The previous episode established the crew's renewed determination to grow stronger, and this one digs into the specifics of Nami, Franky, and Sanji's individual paths. It continues building toward the highly anticipated crew reunion and their collective push into the New World.
