I can't believe Rayleigh really swam across the entire Calm Belt and just acted like it was nothing because he's that much of a legend and his talk with Luffy about being free really hit me

Rayleigh basically saved the entire dream by showing up at Amazon Lily, because Luffy was about to just rush back into a losing battle at Sabaody without a real plan

I can't believe Kuma was actually helping the whole time and that flashback with him talking to Rayleigh changed everything for me about the Sabaody fight

Kuma being a revolutionary makes so much sense now that Rayleigh explained what he whispered during the fight and it makes his sacrifice feel way heavier

Zoro's face when he finally got the news about Marineford just screamed helplessness, and man, that really got to me. He's always so confident, so seeing him totally knocked off-kilter, agonizing over whether Luffy even survived all that chaos, was a truly tough watch. I felt such a pit in my stomach for him, knowing he couldn't do a single thing.

Rayleigh is such a legend for swimming through the sea kings just to find Luffy and talk some sense into him because I was getting worried about how the crew would survive the next half of the grand line without getting stronger and the reveal about Kuma being on Dragons side actually blew my mind and explained so much about Sabaody

Luffy deciding to wait two years is such a huge call but Rayleigh is right because they would just get crushed again in the New World if they went now

Seeing Rayleigh just swim across the Calm Belt and kill a Sea King with a knife is actually terrifying and it shows why Luffy needs to listen to him right now

It is so sad watching the rest of the crew find out about Ace when they are all stuck on those random islands and cannot even get to Luffy

Boin Archipelago is such a nightmare, I actually gasped when Usopp ballooned up trying to run away! Seeing him become a literal ball of fat trying to escape that creepy forest totally cracked me up and made me forget how awful the island was for a bit. I'm really curious if he'll have to stay big for a while, because that would lead to some wild fights.

Rayleigh showing up out of nowhere to offer a training plan was a surprise, but it feels like the only way Luffy can actually protect everyone next time

Hearing Luffy say being Pirate King is about being the freest man on the sea was a cool way to look at his dream

When Kuma and Rayleigh talked, my jaw dropped at what Kuma truly did. I always saw him as a threat, but realizing he willingly sacrificed himself just to protect the Straw Hats on Sabaody makes me re-evaluate everything I thought I knew about him, it's such a tragic irony.

Those wedding fantasies Hancock kept having made me laugh so much and she is the best for taking care of Luffy during this training stuff

Having that super short recap was a nice change of pace, because it meant we could get straight into the Straw Hats dealing with the aftermath of the war

The way Law was talking about the D name and waiting for Luffy to stir things up again makes that whole scene feel like a heavy setup for something important

I was so shocked hearing that Kuma is actually part of the Revolutionary Army and it makes that whole Sabaody mess feel way different now. He was actually saving everyone from the marines and I also loved seeing Law acting all mysterious about the Will of D because it feels like there is such a huge secret coming up soon

Luffy deciding to wait two years for training really hit me hard because he wants his companions back so bad but knows they are too weak right now and having Rayleigh show up to guide him feels right

Usopp trying to run away from that island was funny but also sad since you can tell he just wants to go help Luffy through the Ace situation

I think the way Luffy decided to take the two year break shows how much he has matured since the war and he finally understands that sheer will isnt enough to survive the New World

EPISODE CONTEXT

Arriving in the emotional aftermath of some of One Piece's most consequential events, episode 507 functions as a pivotal crossroads where Luffy processes what he's lost and confronts what comes next under Rayleigh's guidance. It bridges the raw grief of prior episodes with the forward momentum of the crew's preparation for future challenges. This is foundational setup — the decisions made here ripple directly into the trajectory of everything that follows.
