I am actually terrified for Luffy because Magellan's poison fruit seems completely broken and there is no way to even touch him without getting melted

seeing those prisoners getting tossed into the giant pot of boiling blood was so dark and it really makes level four feel like a total nightmare

It is crazy how much is happening at once because Luffy is fighting for his life against a poison man, while the world outside is losing it and hearing that Shanks is busy stopping Kaido while Whitebeard gets ready for war makes the stakes at Impel Down feel even more urgent and the tension for Ace is through the roof right now

I seriously can't believe Magellan is this strong and seeing Luffy just get covered in that purple sludge was terrifying and I actually thought he was invincible but this poison fruit is a game changer

Luffy really just chose to let his hands melt off. The look in his eyes when he attacked Magellan proves he is not playing around anymore

Buggy and Mr 3 splitting off to save themselves is exactly what I expected. It makes the situation feel even more lonely for Luffy and Bon Clay

I honestly felt the stress watching Luffy go up against Magellan because that poison power is basically impossible to beat and there is no way to touch him without getting hurt. My favorite thing about this arc so far is how Bon Clay stayed behind even though he was terrified, since it shows he is a real friend to Luffy

The heat on Level 4 is insane, and seeing Luffy resort to such reckless attacks against that poison guy shows how much he loves his brother

The guards torturing people in the background of Level 4 makes this prison feel way darker than anything we have seen before in this show

Magellan is actually terrifying. The way everyone is sweating just being near him makes the stakes feel so much higher than the previous floors

Bon Clay calling out Buggy and Mr 3 for being cowards made me love him even more. His loyalty to Luffy is the only thing keeping me sane right now

I still cannot believe Luffy was ready to throw his arms away just to punch Magellan. Seeing him that desperate for Ace is hurting my soul

The heat on level four looks absolutely brutal and you can really feel the pressure building up as they get closer to where Ace is being held

Those quick shots of Crocodile and Jinbe waiting in their cells while Luffy fights Magellan on the floor above them really makes the whole prison break feel massive

I am actually losing my mind over Luffy's resolve in this fight, because he literally does not care what happens to his body as long as he saves Ace. It was so intense when he decided to lose his hands just to touch Magellan. Plus that poison warden is way scarier than the poop jokes made him seem at first

Magellan just letting that purple goo drip down his chin while explaining the rules was such a wild sight, I couldn't even imagine being in that prison. It really made me think about how completely unbothered he is by his own deadly powers, which is a seriously messed-up kind of dedication for a warden.

Magellan is such a beast for holding back all these prisoners at once, and it makes you realize why Impel Down is supposed to be impossible to escape from

I still can't believe Luffy said he would give up his arms just to hit Magellan because that shows how much Ace means to him and it actually scared me a little bit

I felt so stressed out watching Luffy try to punch through that poison wall and my heart sank when he decided to just take the damage to land a hit

Buggy and Mr 3 trying to sneak around while Luffy fights for his life is the exact kind of comedy this heavy episode needed to keep from being too depressing

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming directly off Episode 433, where Warden Magellan's trap began closing in, this episode escalates the danger by pushing the group deeper into Impel Down's most punishing level. It represents a critical midpoint in the Impel Down arc, where alliances are tested and the path forward narrows. The confrontations here lay the groundwork for even higher-stakes battles ahead as Luffy edges closer to his true objective within the prison.
