I felt sick to my stomach when Luffy told everyone they had to run and just give up on the fight because he never does that

The terror on the crew when more than one of those Kuma clones shows up is so intense because they barely survived the first one

Luffy telling everyone to run away is actually scary and he never does that and it makes the whole situation feel way too real now

My heart was sinking when Kuma stood over Zoro and just made him vanish because it felt like the end for him

I am still shaking from the ending because seeing Kuma appear out of nowhere and delete Zoro from the fight was terrifying

The cost of one of those Pacifistas being the same as a warship explains why they are so impossible to beat and the crew looks exhausted

Luffy telling everyone to run because they cannot win is a huge shift in tone, and it really shows how desperate things have become on this island
menomaru's avatar

It is honestly hard to watch the crew get pushed into a corner like this because they usually find a way to win. Luffy looked so desperate when he ordered them to scatter and run for their lives. Then Kuma shows up and makes Zoro disappear into thin air and everything feels like it is falling apart for them right now

Everything was going fine until Sentomaru showed up with that huge axe and started schooling everyone and now it seems like they might actually lose
samebito_samurai_84's avatar

Seeing Zoro just vanish after Kuma touched him made the whole vibe of this arc so heavy and stressful

I felt actually scared when Luffy told everyone they had to run and hide because he never says things like that

Those robot Pacifista guys are way too tanky and seeing the Straw Hats struggle so hard to even damage one felt hopeless

Sentomaru is a beast and his palm strikes were absolutely wrecking everyone which was hard to watch

Sentomaru saying he has the worlds best defense and then actually backing it up by swatting Luffy away like a fly was a crazy introduction

My stomach dropped when I realized the crew could not even touch Sentomaru and now Kizaru is here too
xiangliyaos's avatar

Ugh, I seriously felt so bad for the crew when Sentomaru just kept pushing them back, barely letting them even catch their breath. It was genuinely frustrating to watch them struggle so much, knowing how strong they usually are, and I just wanted someone to land a solid hit back.

Luffy actually telling everyone to run totally floored me; I mean, I've never seen him look that desperate before. Sentomaru's defense is such a pain, and with another Pacifista popping up, I'm honestly starting to doubt how they'll ever escape Sabaody this time around. It just feels so overwhelmingly stacked against them.

It actually stressed me out seeing Zoro struggle to stay standing after all the damage he took at Thriller Bark and now more robots are showing up

The visuals really captured the panic in the air, especially when Luffy started shouting for everyone to scatter

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming directly off the crew's brutal encounter with a Pacifista that pushed them to their limits, this episode raises the stakes further by introducing Sentomaru and additional overwhelming threats—making it clear the Straw Hats are now in waters far beyond their depth. It serves as a critical escalation point in the Sabaody Archipelago arc, transforming what was an already tense situation into a full-blown survival crisis. The desperate tone established here directly sets the stage for some of the most pivotal and emotionally devastating events in the entire series.
