This episode highlighted Sanji and Usopp, showing their potential and skills. A peak episode for both of them! Usopp was hilarious here, but I won’t deny he had his epic moments too, lol.

Usopp’s fight turned comical, and it was hilarious. But I was actually impressed with his wits and skills. I kinda understand him—honestly, I’d probably fight like that too if I were in his place, lol.

two solid fights back to back with sanji and usopp both getting their moments to shine, the underwater battle against kuroobi is genuinely creative and usopp's underdog energy is peak early one piece, you can feel the crew getting serious as arlong park builds to its climax

The only thing I'm concerned about is, Sanji already ran out of breath, while Genzo is still continuing to pump Luffy's chest. On the battle side, Sanji's attack is very satisfying. Kudos to Usopp for pulling that move, it's very witty and very funny.

Usopp faking his death with ketchup was such a coward move but seeing him stand up and start swinging that hammer for his friends changed everything

I really felt for Usopp when he was crying in the dirt because I know how hard it is to be brave when you are that outmatched and terrified

It is crazy how Sanji was literally drowning and still found a way to win by attacking the dude's gills, but the part with Usopp was even more wild. He went from faking his death with ketchup to actually lighting that fishman on fire and smashing him with a hammer. That moment where he realized he could never face his friends again if he ran felt so heavy

Usopp yelling his own name while hitting Chew with a hammer over and over was actually kind of inspiring because he finally stopped running away

I thought Sanji blowing air into those gills was such a smart move to escape and it really saved him from drowning in that pool

Zoro standing there with that massive chest wound and still taking out the octopus guy is pure madness and his willpower is scary

Nami, standing there at those gates, clutching her staff with such a fiercely determined look, honestly, I got chills seeing her. I just knew she wasn't backing down; she was finally ready to throw down for everything she'd suffered, and that felt so incredibly satisfying.

The way Sanji just lit a cigarette after almost drowning was such a cool move and then he absolutely destroyed Kuroobi with those rapid fire kicks

That fishman thought he was so much better because he could fight underwater but Sanji proved that a human can still kick your head in on land

Sanji was struggling so hard to breathe in that pool, yet he managed to win the land fight with those Mouton Shot kicks and really showed that fishman who is boss

I was actually shouting when Usopp finally stood up and stopped running because that ketchup trick was so pathetic but seeing him find his pride made my day

Zoro looks like he should be dead with that giant slash on his chest but he still took out the octopus guy and now Arlong looks actually mad

Usopp screaming his name while hitting Chew with that hammer over and over was so much better than him crying in the dirt and then Sanji finishing his fight by kicking a guy through a whole wall just showed how much they care about Nami even if Luffy is still trapped underwater and cant help them yet

That mouton shot Sanji used to blast Kuroobi through the building was huge and it felt so good to see that fishman finally get kicked around

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode escalates the ongoing multi-front battle against the Fishmen, picking up directly after Luffy's own confrontation hit a critical moment. Sanji and Usopp carrying their own weight here is essential to the arc's structure of proving the entire crew's resolve, not just the captain's. It builds momentum toward the next episode, which pivots to Nami's emotional turning point — a shift this action-heavy entry earns by raising the stakes first.
