I still can't get over seeing Hatchan again after all this time and he was such a jerk back at Arlong Park and now he is just hanging out with a mermaid and a starfish

Woah, Duval's hatred for Sanji is practically boiling over, and I can't help but wonder if this grudge actually goes way, way back to something we haven't seen before he even got that iron mask. It seriously feels like he's been stewing for ages just for this moment.

Luffy was more worried about getting some takoyaki than actually saving those guys at first and his stomach really is the only thing that matters when they find someone new in the ocean

Everything with Camie makes it feel like the crew is actually going to make it to fish man island soon and the travel finally feels like it is going somewhere

The mystery of who is under that mask kept me guessing for the whole episode and the actual reason for his hatred is so stupidly perfect for Sanji

It was so confusing why this random guy had such a massive grudge against Sanji, but the payoff with the bounty poster made the whole buildup worth it.

Camie is such an airhead but her getting spat out by a sea king and then immediately asking for help was a great introduction for a mermaid

I kept trying to guess who was under that mask and I really thought it was going to be Don Krieg coming back for revenge because of the armor and everything but the reveal that it actually has to do with Sanji and his wanted poster is the funniest thing and I am still laughing about how much Duval hates him

Hatchan trying to live a quiet life selling snacks but getting dragged back into pirate drama is actually kind of sad and funny at the same time

Sanji must have done something truly terrible to make a man wear a giant iron mask and hunt him across the sea with a whole army

The way those flying fish act like literal dive bombers is such a weird but cool detail, and it makes the whole ocean battle feel like some bizarre dogfight in the sky.

I still cannot believe Hachi is back and working for this guy with the mask because I thought we were done with Arlong and his crew forever ago

Luffy really just wants that takoyaki and he does not care about the giant fish riders or anything else going on around him right now

Duval is such a weird guy and why does even his little snail phone have a mask on its face

Those flying fish guys look like a biker gang from the sky and seeing them ride around on fish is actually pretty cool

Zoro just standing there looking bored while everyone else is panicking about the mask guy is so typical for him now

It was so funny to me that Luffy got a necklace put on him and he just does not care as long as he gets to eat eventually

Luffy cares more about getting takoyaki than the fact that he is basically entering the most dangerous part of the ocean

The flying fish only being able to stay out of the water for five minutes is a weirdly specific detail but it makes the fight scenes feel more urgent

I am really curious about what this Duval guy has against the crew, because he sounds like he has a serious grudge. Seeing Hachi back was such a shock too, since Arlong Park feels like a lifetime ago. I wonder if the crew is going to help a former enemy or if things will get messy with Nami around

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming directly off the crew's arrival at the Red Line, this episode pivots from that landmark moment into the early stages of the Sabaody Archipelago arc by introducing key new characters in Camie, Pappag, and the antagonistic Duval. It bridges the post-Thriller Bark momentum with the next major storyline, establishing both allies and enemies the Straw Hats will need to contend with. The groundwork laid here — particularly Duval's vendetta — feeds directly into the immediate episodes ahead.
