Seeing Oars pull those Luffy moves was actually scary because he is way too big and the crew trying to stay together while the real Luffy is just chasing shadows in the woods was great

I still cant get over how Oars recognized Sanji from that hideous wanted poster and it makes me laugh how Luffy even as a zombie knows his crew is that ugly looking in drawings

Oars using Luffy's personality makes this fight so weird because he is friendly and then he just starts throwing whole buildings at everyone

The way Moria keeps dodging Luffy with those shadow tricks is getting really annoying and the show needs to get to a real fight

Thriller Bark has some really slow parts, but the idea of the crew fighting a giant with Luffy's instincts is actually pretty terrifying. It feels so hopeless seeing them get smashed by their own captain's signature moves. The Absalom wedding stuff is just hard to watch, and it makes the wait for the Moria fight feel even longer

Luffy chasing Moria while his own shadow is wrecking the rest of the crew is such a weird and stressful situation

Usopp throwing that salt ball at Oars was such a desperate move and it really shows how outclassed they are right now

I can see why the crew is totally panicking because Oars using the gum gum pistol move just like Luffy is actually terrifying

My skin was crawling during the Absalom scenes, but seeing Zoro and Sanji actually struggle against a giant zombie was a nice change of pace

The pacing in Thriller Bark is definitely dragging but watching the crew try to fight a giant version of their own captain is a cool concept

Absalom is so gross for trying to force a wedding on Nami while she is passed out and the guy needs to get kicked already

I felt so stressed seeing Oars pull out the gum gum gatling and he is just way too big for the crew to handle right now

My skin crawled when Oars started acting exactly like Luffy because it felt so wrong seeing our captain's personality inside that massive monster body while he hunts down his friends

Franky and Brook just got utterly wrecked by that building, and it left me genuinely rattled for the whole crew. It’s making me think they’re totally out of their depth without Captain Luffy, like who can even handle this kind of chaos?

Sanji getting roasted by a giant zombie for looking exactly like his bad drawing was hilarious and it really shows that even with a shadow Oars is still as blunt as Luffy

I really felt for Usopp when he started yelling at Oars like he was the real Luffy, and seeing the whole crew get wrecked one by one was honestly hard to watch. It is pretty cool how Oars has all of Luffy's instincts but it's also making things look impossible for everyone since Luffy is still busy chasing Moria around the castle

I can't believe Luffy is actually the bad guy right now and seeing his rubber powers on a giant like Oars is honestly terrifying it made me feel so bad for the crew trying to survive his attacks
rauru's avatar

It was so satisfying to see Oars use his massive size to completely overwhelm Franky and the others, especially since they usually have a plan for everything
yuno_yukikaze_139's avatar
yuno_yukikaze_139
The fight looks desperate now that Zoro and Chopper are struggling and it really highlights how much the team depends on Luffy being there instead of chasing Moria

I can't believe Oars actually recognized Sanji from that ugly wanted poster because it made that whole fight feel way more personal and funny

EPISODE CONTEXT

Deep within the Thriller Bark arc, this episode follows directly from Episode 364's cliffhanger where the colossal zombie Oars challenged the crew, now escalating into a full-scale battle. It represents a critical mid-arc turning point where the Straw Hats must prove they can stand against Moria's ultimate weapon before individual confrontations—like Nami's clash with Absalom in the following episode—take the spotlight. The stakes established here carry forward into the arc's climactic stretch.
