I think Ryuma giving Shusui to Zoro was the coolest thing he could have done and seeing Zoro hold that black blade after that duel made the rooftop fight worth it

I still cant get over Brook finally seeing his shadow on the floor and he waited fifty years for that moment and I actually teared up seeing him so happy

I cannot get over how zoro handled the end of that fight because he didn't even brag about winning or anything like that. He just took the sword and respected the guy's legacy even though he was a zombie, and seeing brook finally get his shadow back after decades of being alone in the dark really made me tear up a bit

You could tell how strong ryuma was just by how much zoro had to struggle to keep up with those heavy slashes

That huge, soul-shaking cheer from Brook when his shadow finally reunited with him was everything; I can only imagine the sheer relief and joy he must've felt after yearning for that for decades. It just made me so happy to see him look like himself, finally complete after so long, ready to play his music again with all his heart.

It moved me when zoro agreed to keep the duel a secret since it showed how much he respected ryuma as a samurai

The way the laboratory was just getting torn apart by their slashes made the whole duel feel way more intense, and zoro definitely earned that new blade

They really tried to make you think zoro lost at the end of the last one but seeing him actually win was great

I actually felt so happy for brook when he saw his shadow again because he has been waiting for this for so many years

Ryuma just handing over Shusui totally threw me for a loop; I mean, even as a zombie, his warrior's pride and instincts were so strong he recognized a true master in Zoro, making that sword's transfer feel incredibly significant. I bet Zoro understood the gravity of inheriting such a legendary blade from someone who truly deemed him worthy.

That blue dragon move Zoro pulled out to finish the fight was insane and it is so weird that it worked without him using salt on Ryuma

I was honestly stressed because Ryuma felt like a literal god with Brooks speed and that legendary strength, so seeing Zoro actually overpower him with that flying dragon strike was incredible. I kept thinking about how Mihawk would react to this fight because the level of skill on that rooftop was just different from anything we have seen so far

Zoro is officially on a whole different level now and seeing him take down a legend like the god of the blade proves he is getting closer to his dream

You usually see power moves in this show but this felt like a real sword fight where every single stance and parry actually mattered for the win

Five years is a long time to wait to see your own reflection again and the look on Brook’s face when his shadow returned was everything

Shusui is easily the coolest sword Zoro has found so far, and the way it was passed down feels like a huge moment for his journey as a swordsman

Zoro holding that heavy black blade at the end looked so right and he definitely earned the respect of a legend like Ryuma

Seeing the entire roof get shredded while they clashed was insane and you could really feel the power behind every single strike during that duel

The fake out at the end of the last episode was so clever because seeing Zoro standing tall while Ryuma burned was a huge relief

The way those two were just slicing through the entire building while they fought was terrifying, it felt like the whole tower was going to collapse on them

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode marks the climax of Zoro's personal rivalry with Ryuma that has been building across the Thriller Bark arc, paying off tension seeded in earlier encounters aboard the haunted island. It serves as a decisive turning point in one of the arc's key individual battles, clearing the way for the Straw Hat crew to face Thriller Bark's remaining and far greater threats. The resolution here feeds directly into the broader momentum shift as the crew pushes toward the arc's final confrontations.
