I felt a huge wave of dread seeing that zombie use Zoro attacks and it makes me wonder what actually happened to his shadow

You think Luffy is having the time of his life in that suit of armor and then he gets stuffed in a coffin so fast

Okay, so when that strange dog thing started kicking to protect Nami, I instantly recognized Sanji's moves, and it gave me chills seeing his fighting style used like that. It just makes me wonder what kind of mess he's in for his shadow to be doing this, and how much danger the Straw Hats are really facing on this island.

How are these zombies so smart and those water buckets to stop Frankys fire made the generals feel way more dangerous than the regular weirdos on this island

The way that dog thing fights exactly like Sanji while acting all chivalrous toward Nami is so bizarre, especially since it doesn't even know why it's doing it

yachira_yamato_468
I really did not think they would actually catch Luffy like that and seeing him dragged off in a coffin is stressing me out because the crew is already falling apart plus that zombie using Zoros 36 caliber phoenix is a nightmare scenario since it means their own strengths are being used against them while the real Zoro is still missing somewhere and I have no clue how they recover

When that weird swordsman perfectly mirrored Zoro's techniques, it messed with my head so much, feeling like a creepy invasion of what makes him unique. I'm honestly terrified for Zoro, wondering if he'll ever truly be himself again after his shadow was just... taken.

Franky trying to use his fire only for the zombies to have buckets of water ready was a huge reality check for how prepared these guys are

The dog penguin thing protecting Nami is so weird but it definitely has Sanjis soul in there or something because those kicks were way too familiar

Luffy putting on that armor and acting like a dork was funny until he actually got caught and now seeing him stuck in a coffin is making me genuinely worried about what Moria does next

My brain actually stalled when that penguin dog started acting all chivalrous like Sanji and now I am terrified of what Moria is going to do with Luffy's shadow

You can really feel the tension building when even the strongest fighters like Zoro just vanish and that new samurai guy looks like a massive threat to the whole crew

The mystery of the humming swordsman is finally getting somewhere and Brook better have some answers about why these zombies are acting exactly like the straw hat crew members

I honestly cannot believe how fast things went south for the crew and now Zoro is just gone while some zombie named Jigoro is running around with his moves, and it makes me so nervous thinking about what happens if Luffy gets his shadow stolen too because a zombie with rubber powers would be absolutely unstoppable and terrifying right now and I hope they find them

When that penguin dog started talking and had Sanji's exact voice and personality, I genuinely got shivers. It really made me think his soul must've gotten zapped into that weird plushie, leaving his real body lost somewhere else.

That zombie penguin trying to stand up for Nami had me in stitches, and honestly, it's just so Sanji. Even with his shadow trapped in a plushie, my guy still couldn't resist being a total chivalrous simp, which is a testament to his core personality, I guess!

The way Moria turns the crew against themselves by putting their spirits into weird animal zombies like that chivalrous penguin guy really messed with my head

The mystery of how the shadows and bodies interact is getting so deep now, because we see Inuppe acting like Sanji and Jiguro fighting like Zoro. It makes you feel like the crew is being replaced by monsters using their own strength against them, and the gothic vibe of this island raid is just perfect for this kind of suspense.

The way the gothic atmosphere keeps building is great, especially with the crew members disappearing into thin air while these weird general zombies show up with familiar fighting styles.

Losing both Sanji and Zoro in one episode makes the stakes feel so much higher than the usual island adventures and Thriller Bark is definitely the creepiest place they have visited yet

EPISODE CONTEXT

Positioned in the heart of the Thriller Bark arc, this episode escalates the danger after the crew's initial exploration of the island and early skirmishes with its bizarre residents. The separation of the Straw Hats deepens the vulnerability introduced in prior episodes, while the arrival of a mysterious swordsman plants seeds for major confrontations ahead. It serves as a critical bridge between the arc's eerie setup and the intense battles that will define its second half.
