Zoro is back to being a bounty hunter and it feels so weird when you see him look at Luffy like a target after everything they went through together

It is lucky Robin kept her memories because seeing her try to explain things to a crew that has no idea who she is makes her so cool

Luffy really does not change at all when his mind is wiped, and he still has that same energy that makes people follow him, and Robin is the only one with a brain left, and watching her navigate the chaos while the others revert to their old dreams like Sanji thinking about the Baratie or Nami wanting Cocoyasi is actually such a mess for the crew

Nami still being obsessed with money and her village even without her memories is such a funny way to show her true nature

Watching the crew try and eat Chopper because they forgot he is their friend felt so weird to me

The animation looks a bit messy in a few spots but it felt wrong to me when Zoro went back to acting like a bounty hunter

Reading about G8 in Nami's logbook makes the previous filler feel way more important and you can tell they really want everything to fit together with the Sky Island journey

Watching the crew treat each other like complete strangers is such a trip and even though it is just filler the mystery of who stole their memories is actually keeping things interesting

Robin being the only one with her memories intact really puts her in a tough spot, and it is so interesting how she has to convince everyone they are a crew. It makes me feel sad seeing Nami and the others look at her like a total stranger while she tries to explain their history on this weird island with her shallow knowledge

You can really tell the animators were having a rough day with Sanji and Robin in some of these shots and it really takes you out of the mystery of the memory thief

The idea of Zoro and Luffy actually fighting because some thief stole their memories is pretty crazy and it makes this whole island trip feel way more dangerous

I noticed the animation for Robin and Sanji looked a bit off in the beginning of this one but the concept of everyone losing their memories is still holding my attention

Seeing the crew forget everything while Robin has to do all the heavy lifting is a great twist, because she is the newest member and still feels like an outsider to them

The way Nami looked at her own logbook and saw the notes about Navarone makes the whole G8 filler arc feel like it actually happened in the main story and it makes everything fit together better

I think it is so funny that Chopper is just happy to be there even though he has no idea what is going on and he still acts like a cute little reindeer

Nami and the others being terrified of their own ship is such a bizarre sight and it shows how scary things are without their memories

It is wild that Robin is the only one left with her head on straight and now she has to convince a bunch of strangers they are her family

Using the memory loss plot to show those old backstories again is actually a pretty clever way to do a recap while still keeping the plot moving forward

Having to sit through a filler arc right now feels a bit slow even if the mystery about the seahorse is kind of cool

EPISODE CONTEXT

Positioned after the conclusion of the Davy Back Fight arc, this filler episode is part of a short standalone subplot involving the crew's mysterious amnesia — entirely anime-original material. The previous episode established the memory loss premise, and this installment deepens the crew's efforts to piece things back together, building toward a self-contained resolution before the series moves on to its next major canon arc.
