Este capitulo me rompió el corazón 2 veces , primero con el mal entendido entre Karugara y Nolan y después con sus muertes y saqueo a la bella isla.

The way Noland and Kalgara had that huge misunderstanding over the trees and then never saw each other again is the most depressing thing this show has done and it hurts so much

I can't stop thinking about Noland dying while the whole world called him a liar and he never even knew what happened to his best friend on that island

Watching the city of gold get torn away from the rest of the island while the bell rings is brutal because Noland never got to come back to his friends

Kalgara and Noland are easily the highlight of this whole arc and seeing their friendship fall apart over those white trees was just painful to watch

The irony of the Shandians ringing the bell as a promise to meet again while Noland is getting executed back home is just miserable to think about

The way the bell echoes while Noland is crying on his ship is so heavy. They finally understood each other right as they were being separated by the ocean

I really wasnt expecting a flashback about two guys from hundreds of years ago to hit me this hard, but seeing Kalgara realize why Noland cut those trees down made me so sad. They finally became brothers and then the island just got launched into the clouds before they could see each other again and it makes me really hope Luffy can ring the bell soon

It is so frustrating that a simple misunderstanding about some trees ruined their friendship, and now Noland is dead while his descendant is still searching for the truth

Luffy needs to hurry up and ring that golden bell so Cricket can finally know his ancestor was telling the truth about the city of gold this whole time

Seeing Jaya before it got blasted into the sky makes me feel so bad for Noland. Everyone called him a liar for the rest of history just for telling the truth

You see Kalgara running through the forest and yelling for Noland to come back while the bell rings and it is just the saddest thing after seeing them bond over the plague

I actually started tearing up when Noland sailed away and the Shandians started ringing that bell to say goodbye but he had no idea why they were mad before that

Those trees caused so much trouble and it is crazy how a simple talk could have saved two civilizations from 400 years of pain and regret and Noland is a hero

I was already feeling bad for Cricket, but this backstory just destroyed me and made his whole life search so much more painful to think about. Knowing Noland died with everyone hating him while Kalgara was waiting for him until the very end is the cruelest thing this show has done. Luffy has to ring that bell for both of them.

Luffy fighting for the sake of a promise from four centuries ago is why he is the best and he does not care about the gold he just wants the bell to ring

I cannot stop thinking about how Noland and Kalgara were just two guys from different worlds who became brothers and then the world just tore them apart for no reason

Noland was honestly the best guy in the whole arc, and seeing him get executed while still thinking of his friends in Skypiea is genuinely hard to watch without getting a bit choked up.

The backstory is sad but they really took their time with the explanations and it felt like the bell location stuff was just being repeated over and over while the story dragged

Kalgara running to the shore after he understood why the trees were cut down is actually painful and they never met again and it is just too sad

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode closes out the Noland-Kalgara flashback within the Skypiea arc, directly following Episode 188's depiction of the initial cultural tensions and misunderstandings between the explorer and the Shandians. By resolving the historical conflict and cementing the emotional stakes of the past, it provides the crucial thematic foundation for the Straw Hat Pirates' present-day battle in Skypiea — everything that follows carries the weight of this promise. The arc now shifts back to the current timeline with renewed narrative urgency.
