Eneru is so terrifying because he really cannot understand why Nami would choose her friends over her life and that golden ball on Luffy is such a brutal way to take him out

eneru is way too arrogant for his own good and he really thinks he won just because he kicked luffy off the boat but his ego will be his undoing eventually

i felt so bad for nami being trapped on that ship with that lightning freak but seeing her refuse to back down even with luffy gone was incredible to see after everything

nami using her weather skills to try and outsmart a guy made of lightning is such a bold move, and it proves she is not just running away anymore when things get tough
sanemi_storm_133's avatar

sanji and usopp trying to save nami from a literal god while having zero powers to stop lightning was so intense and it highlights how much they love her as a friend

nami standing her ground against eneru even after luffy got knocked off the ark shows how much she has grown and she really is a ride or die crewmate now

i hate how the title spoiled luffy falling because watching him get pushed off the ship with those swollen hands should have been a massive shock instead of something i expected
cobble_290's avatar

usopp and sanji are such good friends for trying to intervene against eneru and it makes the power difference feel so much scarier when they get blasted trying to help nami

It was so stressful watching Luffy fall from the Ark Maxim with that massive gold ball dragging him down, and the visual of his swollen hands made the whole situation feel way more dire. Nami staying to face Eneru shows her growth, and seeing Sanji and Usopp scramble to help her despite the danger really highlighted the crew bonds.

Seeing Nami face down a literal god shows how much she cares about the crew now, plus the way Luffy got taken out was actually pretty clever on Eneru's part

my stomach dropped when luffy went over the edge with his hands all swollen from that gold and it is terrifying to think how far down he fell from the sky ship

the title of this episode basically told us everything that was going to happen and it made the cliffhanger feel pretty weak because we already knew he was falling for sure

I hate how the title spoiled Luffy falling but Nami actually stood her ground and she has come such a long way since the start of the series
winry_rockbell_117's avatar
winry_rockbell_117
Sanji using his legs to get Nami out of there while Usopp helped him was actually a strong moment and it shows how far they will go for each other

Eneru thinking he is a god and laughing while Luffy falls is so frustrating and it makes the way he treats people even more cruel
hosenki's avatar

My heart broke when Nami said her dreams mean nothing without her nakama, and I really hope Sanji is okay after taking that massive lightning strike for her
umizato_unicorn's avatar

The title literally told everyone Luffy was going to fall so the suspense was kind of dead but Nami standing up to a literal god was still so brave

I can not believe Sanji just tanked that for them and watching him and Usopp save Nami was a great moment

Eneru is actually terrifying because he just cannot understand why Nami would choose her friends over living, and that gold ball on Luffy is such a cheap move
saguaro's avatar

Watching Nami tell Eneru that she does not want anything if she is alone really shows how much she loves the crew now and Usopp actually being useful with Sanji was great

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming directly off the activation of Enel's Ark Maxim, this episode escalates the existential threat hanging over Skypiea and pushes the Straw Hats to their lowest point in the arc. It serves as the emotional trough before the crew regroups for the final confrontation with Enel. Everything here — Luffy's setback, Nami's resolve — is deliberate groundwork for the arc's climactic payoff in the episodes ahead.
