I really wasn't expecting Enel to start just wiping out entire ruins like it was nothing, and seeing everyone get picked off one by one is stressing me out, and Wiper finally showing some real emotion was a nice change of pace too, but man, Luffy trying to go out the back of that snake is easily his worst plan ever

Wiper looks absolutely broken after seeing Conis get blasted and you can really feel how much he cares about his home and his people

I cannot believe Luffy actually tried to climb out of a snake through its butt because he is such a moron but it really made me laugh

You can tell the finale is coming because the stakes just went through the roof and everything is literally on fire or getting struck by lightning

Luffy is stuck in a giant snake and his big plan is to find the exit through its butt which is the stupidest thing he has ever done

Watching Enel just casually melt the entire island feels so hopeless and he is definitely the scariest villain the crew has fought so far

Enel is a total monster for what he did to the Skypieans and those ruins are just falling apart everywhere while he laughs about it

When that massive lightning blast just shredded Conis, I swear my jaw dropped; seeing Wiper, of all people, absolutely scream for her afterwards really showed me how much he secretly cared, even after all their history.

Enel is actually a monster for what he did to Zoro and Robin and everyone else. That lightning is too much and I have no clue how anyone survives this guy and his weird god complex

I was honestly stunned when Enel let Conis go just to watch everyone scramble in fear because it shows how much he loves being a sadistic jerk while the world falls apart

The ruins are literally crumbling and Enel is just sitting there counting down his little survival game like it is some kind of sick joke

Enel letting Conis go just to watch people suffer, while the ruins are literally falling apart, makes him feel more like a force of nature than a normal villain

That look in Wipers eyes when the Shandia history was basically turning to dust around him really showed the stakes for his tribe

You can really tell Wiper cares more about his people than anything else with the way he was pleading for everyone to stop getting involved in this mess
mekurabe_mage's avatar

I felt so bad for Wiper this episode because his desperation for his people is starting to cloud everything else, and it is actually painful to watch him plead with the others like that, especially since Enel is a monster for letting Conis run off to feed on that fear but seeing the quintet assemble gives me hope for the ruins

Everyone really needs to stop fighting each other and just team up on Enel already because he is literally dropping ruins on their heads while they argue

The way Enel just casually wiped out almost everyone until there was only five people left shows how insane the stakes are in Shandora right now

Watching Wiper break down and beg everyone to stay away from the ruins felt so heavy after seeing how much he normally tries to act like a tough guy

I cannot believe how Enel just let Conis go and warn everyone just so he could watch them panic he is such a sick dude and his fruit is way too broken

Nami and Zoro and the rest are barely hanging on in the ruins and it feels like there is no way for them to beat a literal lightning god right now

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 179 lands in the endgame stretch of the Skypiea arc, directly following Zoro's hard-fought victory over Ohm in Episode 178 and narrowing the field of combatants to a final handful. The episode functions as a critical setup chapter, consolidating the remaining players and steering the narrative toward the inevitable showdown with Enel. From here, the arc accelerates into its climactic confrontations, making this a pivotal turning point where buildup gives way to resolution.
