A soft character-focused episode that adds minor depth. Light and reflective, but low stakes.

Watching Chopper try to hide his medicine secrets from Robin made me laugh because his paranoid face was so funny and her tickling him with those extra hands was a great way to handle him

Chopper losing his mind over Robin possibly being a spy was a highlight and her just using her powers to tickle him into submission was such a fun way to close the episode

Even though it is a filler episode, seeing Chopper take care of Kureha as his first patient adds a lot of weight to his medical journey and the flashback felt so sweet

Robin messing with Chopper while he was all worried about her stealing his Rumble Ball formula was hilarious and it is great seeing her fit in with everyone on the ship

The animation on Chopper shifting through his different points was really smooth and seeing him develop his own medicine while still a student under Kureha shows how hard he worked back then

Learning about the work Chopper put into creating the Rumble Ball while he was still training with Doctorine gave me a new appreciation for how far he has come as a doctor

Just chilling with the Straw Hats on the Merry is always such a nice vibe, makes me feel like I'm part of the crew too. I was actually pretty surprised to learn the Rumble Ball came from a total lab accident; it kinda makes me wonder if Chopper will ever fully master that wild power he unleashes. But Robin instantly figuring out how to calm him down with tickles? That moment had me laughing, she really has such a unique way of understanding everyone on this ship.

The way Chopper thinks Robin is this scary spy coming for his research makes for such a good laugh and her teasing him with the flower petals was the cutest thing ever

The flashback to Dr Kureha being the first one to test the Rumble Ball makes that bond feel even stronger and seeing Chopper accidentally hit her with a medical explosion was such a classic moment

My heart melted when Robin shared those flower petals with Chopper and I loved seeing him slowly realize that she is actually a nice person despite being with the bad guys before

That flashback of Chopper failing at the medicine at first but then finally getting it right was so good and seeing him care for Kureha really added a lot to his story

Chopper trying to figure out Robins weakness while she just sits there reading and smiling is the funniest thing in this episode and her tickling him with those extra hands was so wholesome

I really wasn't expecting this episode to make me tear up but that scene where Kureha trusts Chopper to treat her was so heavy, it makes their relationship feel way more earned than before

Usually filler is pretty bad but this one was actually great because you get to see how Chopper made the rumble ball and that flashback with Kureha was really touching plus seeing Luffy just hanging out with monkeys while the rest of the crew does work is hilarious and it reminds you why the Straw Hats are the best group

Robin is so chill and seeing her interact with the crew like this makes her feel like a real Straw Hat, especially when she was messing with Chopper while he was spying on her

Seeing Chopper work so hard on that first Rumble Ball in the flashback was so sweet and the way he actually saved Kureha proves he was a real doctor way before joining the crew

Zoro complaining about Nami making him pick fruit while he just effortlessly slices through the trees is the most Zoro thing ever and these dumb crew moments really make the series special

I love how Dr Kureha tested Chopper by faking being sick and it really shows how much she actually trusts his doctor skills even if she acts like a jerk most of the time

Robin finding Chopper cute while he tries to be all serious about her weakness was everything and the way she just tickled him with her flower hands really made that whole scene

EPISODE CONTEXT

This filler episode sits in the cool-down stretch following the massive Alabasta arc, giving the crew — and the audience — breathing room before the next major storyline kicks in. It capitalizes on Nico Robin's recent addition to the Straw Hats by using her outsider perspective to draw out Chopper's backstory. The episode is part of a broader run of transitional, character-focused installments that deepen crew dynamics ahead of the challenges to come.
