Solid setup episode—exciting but mostly laying the groundwork.

york seriously got under my skin selling out that transmission, and her just cackling in the control room while everyone lost the truth made me want to scream. i can't believe she could be so smug about something so messed up.

Luffy running with Dori and Brogy is such a great visual and they looked like they were having the time of their lives despite the fleet attacking

Rayleigh looking all lonely while the truth came out was a lot, plus Cricket finally getting some proof about the sunken world was a beautiful touch

The concept of a whole civilization being underwater is cool but seeing more of the ruins before the signal cut out would have been better

The animation for the Iron Giant waking up and walking through the fire was insane and it looked so heavy and ancient

I was yelling at my screen when the broadcast cut to static because we were so close to learning about the D name and now the world is just left in total silence

Zoro clashing with Nasujuro was nuts and that black Haki explosion looked incredible

I am actually devastated after hearing the robot apologize to Joy Boy and seeing it sink into the dark ocean made me so sad

Vegapunk mentioned the Will of D and then the screen just died right when things were getting good. It felt like the whole world stopped for a second, especially seeing Dragon and Law just waiting for the truth. York really ruined everything for her own ego, and I hope she gets what is coming to her soon

Those monster forms for the Elders are genuinely terrifying and seeing that giant bird Mars circling the lab was spooky

That giant boar Elder slamming into the ancient robot was a brutal sight to see and it feels like the World Government is finally showing their true colors by destroying history

Those five elders are just stomping through everything and it makes the stakes feel so much higher than Wano, and seeing Nasujuro slice through the island like it was nothing was terrifying and I really wanted to hear the rest of that message though because stopping it at the letter D is just pure evil and it left everyone in the world hanging

I was not prepared for that apology from the Iron Giant at the very end and hearing it say sorry to Joy Boy while sinking into the dark water made everything feel heavy

Smoker appearing for a second on his motorcycle was a nice touch even if he looked stressed out and the Marines clearly have no idea how to handle these secrets

Bluegrass using that armor sea beast to jump the giants was such a cool visual and she is way more dangerous than she looks

The way the broadcast just cut off right when Vegapunk started talking about the D clan was so frustrating, but seeing everyone like Dragon and Law react to it made it feel so heavy. I really loved seeing Zoro jump off Jinbe to block that horse skeleton guy too. Everything about the ending with the giant sinking was just tragic.

A giant robot waking up just to get knocked into the sea by a boar monster was a bit of a letdown and you can tell it was totally overmatched

York laughing after the broadcast cut off made her so easy to hate and she really ruined the biggest moment in history

It made me so happy to see Cricket finally getting some proof for his dreams because that man has been through so much for the romance of the sea

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming directly off Episode 1149's world-shaking Void Century revelations from Dr. Vegapunk, this installment pivots from lore-heavy storytelling to immediate, high-stakes action as the consequences of those disclosures crash down on the Straw Hats in real time. The Iron Giant's activation represents a major escalation point in the Egghead Island arc, bridging the intellectual weight of Vegapunk's broadcast with the physical confrontations ahead. The next episode, 'Her and Her Father's Dream! Bonney's Free Future,' signals a shift toward character-focused emotional storytelling, making Episode 1150 the explosive connective tissue between revelation and resolution.
