I still have chills from seeing that massive pentagram on the floor and then saturn just crawling out like a literal nightmare and the music made it ten times creepier

I was not prepared for how dark this episode got once the summoning started because up until then it was just luffy acting silly and jumping around but then saturn appears and the whole atmosphere changes into something out of a horror movie and seeing bonney cry while trying to stab him really made the emotional stakes feel real for once

stussy deciding to stay behind and protect the lab was such a heavy moment and you can tell she knows she is probably not making it out of this one

Luffy unleashes that insane Star Gun, and I'm hyped beyond belief, only for my stomach to drop when he immediately goes down for the count. Seriously, with that menacing spider grandpa finally making his move, how are they going to manage this without their strongest fighter?

Bonney seeing that man, my heart just sank for her because you could tell she wasn't even thinking, just reacting to seeing the person who messed with Kuma. I was honestly a little shocked at how quickly she went for him, even though he looked like a total monster.

The contrast between Luffy laughing and playing with Kizaru's light beams and then the sudden cold dread when Saturn showed up was handled so well and the atmosphere shifted instantly

Seeing the marine soldiers run for their lives when the Pacifistas turned on them was satisfying and then Saturn showed up and made everything ten times worse for everyone on Egghead

Vegapunk looked absolutely terrified when the highest authority on the island showed up and took back control of the Pacifistas and it feels like the escape plan just went up in smoke

All those Pacifistas switching sides the second Saturn spoke was a cold reminder of who really runs the world

Luffy's Star Gun punch on Kizaru felt absolutely massive, I truly thought that was the end of that fight for a moment. But then Saturn just stepped right out of the burning debris, totally unphased, and the shift in atmosphere was so sudden it actually made me a little nervous for what's coming next – how is anyone even supposed to beat these guys?

I honestly didn't expect the Zoro and Lucci fight to get this much extra love and seeing them trade blows while everything else was falling apart made the scale of the battle feel huge

You can really feel the panic when Luffy deflates and the group is just stuck there in front of that massive monster

Saturn standing there while Bonney stabs him through the chest is the craziest way to end the episode, especially since he didn't even try to move or block it

Sanji using his weird internal lady radar to find Bonney in the middle of all those explosions was actually hilarious and it was a good break before things got really dark with the elder arriving

I am still shaking after seeing Saturn's true form, because it felt like a horror movie instead of One Piece for a second, and the way the air just got heavy and everyone collapsed from his presence was terrifying and watching Bonney finally take a swing at him for what he did to Kuma made me want to cheer even if she is outmatched

Luffy turning into a literal shriveled old man after hitting Kizaru with that Star Gun was a massive shock and now he is just lying there completely helpless while a literal demon walks toward them

Saturn's hybrid form genuinely gave me the chills, it was just so monstrously unexpected. honestly, I'd completely forgotten about all the fun, lighter moments from earlier in the episode because that unsettling image just stuck in my head.

Bonney leaping at Saturn while crying about Kuma was such a gut punch and you can see how much she hates him for what he did to her dad and that cliffhanger is brutal

I actually felt bad for Bonney when she saw Saturn, because you can tell her mind was just flooded with all that pain from Kuma's past

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming directly off Episode 1127's explosive Luffy vs. Kizaru Gear 5 showcase, this episode pivots from high-octane combat to something far more ominous with the introduction of Saint Saturn as a new existential threat on Egghead Island. It marks a critical escalation point in the Egghead arc, shifting the conflict from a straightforward Marine confrontation to something with deeper ties to the World Government's highest echelons. The events here lay essential groundwork for the arc's upcoming exploration of Kuma's past and the broader power structures that define the One Piece world.
