marks the beginning of a faster narrative pace. Key developments start stacking on top of each other, pushing the story forward with urgency. The tension that was previously simmering now begins to boil. There’s a noticeable shift in tone, with scenes carrying more weight

I still can’t get over how Shanks just ended Kid with one move. Seeing Roger’s technique again brought back so many memories from the Oden flashback. Kid really thought he was on that level but Shanks is different

I still cannot believe Kid got one-shot like that after all the work he put in at Wano and watching the Victoria Punk sink at the end made it feel so final

The animation on Elbaf looked incredible, especially when Shanks dropped his drink and got serious the moment he realized his friends were in actual danger from that Damned Punk attack

Seeing Shanks pull out Roger's Divine Departure was intense and the way he just flew across the sea to stop Kid before he could even fire his railgun showed exactly why he is a Yonko

York really wants to be a Celestial Dragon and her betrayal of Stella feels so cruel especially with S-Snake just standing there ready to kill everyone on Egghead

The way they showed Shanks' future sight with that grainy filter was such a good choice and it really highlighted how much he cares about his weak subordinates

I was stunned watching Dorry and Brogy erase the rest of the Kid pirates and that Hakoku blast was way more massive than anything I remembered from Little Garden

York wanting to be a Celestial Dragon is so disgusting, but that reveal was totally overshadowed by Shanks flying across the ocean to protect his friends

That grainy filter on the future sight vision had me on the edge of my seat, making Kid's railgun feel like a genuine doomsday threat. And then Shanks just *appears*, completely throwing me off with how fast he moved—it seriously made me question if anyone could actually react in time to that kind of power.

That future vision of the railgun just completely obliterating the fleet genuinely made my jaw drop. I totally get why Shanks went full force after seeing something like that – it wasn't just a precaution, it was stopping a future he knew was coming, and that makes his decisiveness even more impressive to me.

Kid really thought he was that guy after Wano and then Shanks showed him what a real emperor looks like with that Divine Departure move

Sanji saying the power of love is better than science while kicking S-Shark was such a classic moment and his blue flames looked incredible in the lab

Kid getting taken out that fast was honestly kind of disappointing after he survived so much against Big Mom and it felt like a weird way to end his whole story

Dorry and Brogy showing up to sink the ship after Shanks already broke Kid was such a brutal way to end the fight and clear the deck

Kid really went from fighting Big Mom to getting one tapped by a single sword swing and it makes Law look so much better for holding his own against Blackbeard

Such sheer disrespect from the giants for sinking the Victoria Punk after the crew already surrendered the rubbings was cold and really showed that Elbaf is not to be messed with

I have been waiting years to see Shanks actually fight and seeing him fly across the ocean to protect his fleet was everything I wanted from this episode

It is wild how Shanks went from having a drink with friends to ending Kid's entire pirate career in like ten seconds flat. Kid was being way too cocky with that railgun, and the future sight vision showed exactly why Shanks had to move that fast. Seeing the giants finish off the Victoria Punk really hammered home that they are gone

Shanks really just ended Kid and his whole career in ten seconds flat my heart actually stopped when he pulled out the Divine Departure and the animation was just incredible

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 1112 pivots sharply from the Egghead Island intrigue explored in the preceding episode, 'The Second Ohara! The Mastermind's Ambition!', redirecting focus to the volatile power struggles unfolding across the New World. This confrontation between Shanks and Kid serves as a critical inflection point, establishing the external stakes and factional tensions that run parallel to the Egghead storyline. The outcome of this clash reverberates into subsequent episodes, reshaping the power landscape and raising the pressure on every major crew operating in these waters.
