Luffy tearing the sky apart when he clashed with Kaido made me jump off my couch, I mean, that's just wild to see how much stronger he's gotten, right? But then my excitement turned to dread watching Sanji's body betray him, it's just so unfair that he's becoming the very thing he fought so hard to escape from his awful family.

My skin was crawling when I heard the metallic sounds of Sanji's skeleton fixing itself because he looked so disgusted with his own strength and Queen was just laughing like a maniac

When Yamato explained those flame clouds, my heart just sank for Momo, knowing he's got to hold up the entire island after all that. But then hearing the basement was packed with explosives? I mean, seriously, it felt like the weight of the whole world, and Wano, was just crushing him right then, I can't imagine how overwhelmed he must've felt.

Franky catching Zoro at the last second was such a cool moment and it really highlights how the crew looks out for each other while the world is literally falling apart around them

I can't believe Sanji just snapped his bones back into place like that and his face when he realized his body changed was so haunting to watch after all he went through with his family

Momonosuke crying while trying to fly was a bit slow but the transition to the peaceful lanterns in the capital really showed why he needs to step up and find his courage

King going into a total murder mode just because Zoro cracked a tiny bit of his mask was incredible and those blue flames looked so lethal as they pushed Zoro off the island

King looks terrifying now that his mask is cracked, and seeing him just blast Zoro straight through the wall and almost off the entire island was such a crazy power move

Sanji looking at his hands with that look of pure horror after his body fixed itself was heavy, especially knowing how much he hates his family and their science

The scene with the people in the Flower Capital lighting lanterns while a massive floating weapon shop is about to crush them was such a dark contrast and you see them singing and having the time of their lives while Momonosuke is literally crying and trying to figure out how to fly so they dont all die in a giant explosion which was super heavy

I saw Luffy split the clouds just like Roger and it gave me chills. Seeing the stars behind the storm was beautiful and he finally reached the top level

Momonosuke remembering his parents and finally stopping his tears was a great moment. He has such a huge weight on his shoulders now and the whole city depends on his clouds

The lanterns in the Flower Capital look so peaceful and they have no idea a giant weapon cache is falling on them. It makes the fight on the roof feel so much more desperate

This felt like a lot of setup for the big finale but seeing Zoro get saved by Franky at the last second was a nice touch for the crews teamwork

I could actually hear the bones snapping in Sanjis body and I did not think he would just stand back up like that while Queen was laughing

Momo's struggling flight felt even more desperate to me once I processed that the entire island is basically a giant gunpowder barrel. My heart just clenched thinking about everyone at the festival, totally clueless to the sheer scale of explosion waiting if he messes up and drops.

I am still feeling a bit sick from that sound of Sanjis bones snapping back into place but he is basically a monster now and Queen has no idea what is coming

Those shots of the lanterns in the Flower Capital are pretty but they feel a bit slow and it is hard to wait for more Zoro and Sanji action

I thought the island falling was bad enough but learning about the massive basement full of gunpowder and weapons makes the situation for the Flower Capital feel so much more desperate

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 1052 lands deep in the climactic stretch of the Wano arc's raid on Onigashima, directly following Episode 1051's escalation of Luffy versus Kaido and Momonosuke's emerging dragon powers. The focus shifts to the ensemble cast racing against time to prevent catastrophe, serving as connective tissue between the main battle's peak moments and the arc's eventual resolution. This episode sets critical groundwork for the final confrontations and payoffs that will close out one of One Piece's longest and most ambitious arcs.
