The two strongest members of Kaido's Pirates face off against the two strongest members of Luffy's crew. The battle is chaotic and visually captivating, and flashbacks leave viewers intrigued about Zoro's past, revealing important details for the plot

When Zoro and Sanji finally teamed up for that joint attack on King and Queen, I was absolutely hyped! Seeing them combine forces like that with the new animation style felt so earned after all their bickering, and it really showed me how much they've grown.

Hearing Whitebeard talk about the Land of Gods and those fire people on the Red Line really makes the world feel so much bigger and King is terrifying

King using that weird notched sword to try and break Zoro's blades was such a dirty move but Zoro looked like a total beast when he parried it and kept going anyway

Momo showing up as a giant pink dragon at the end was such a massive moment for him and he finally looks like he can actually stand next to Luffy against Kaido

Hyogoro mentioning the resemblance between Zoro and Ushimaru really makes you wonder about his family, especially with that Ryuma connection and the way he returned Shusui to Wano

Zoro and Sanji standing together after that huge combo hit on King and Queen was amazing and the way they started bickering right after was so classic and funny

Zoro fighting King while King uses that weird notched sword to catch his blades was so tense and you can tell Zoro is really feeling the pressure

Marco talking about the ancient race on the Red Line while fighting King adds so much mystery to why the world government wants them gone and that Whitebeard flashback was a great touch

I about lost it when Marco mentioned the gods living on the Red Line and the flashback with Whitebeard gave me chills and the lore is getting so deep now

I can't believe how much Zoro looks like that Shimotsuki guy in the flashback and it makes so much sense now why he belongs in Wano fighting with those three swords

Hawkins is such a coward for using Kid as a literal human shield and poor Killer looked so devastated and angry because he could not even move his blades

Marco trusting the new guys to take over really got to me because he has been doing so much heavy lifting and seeing him finally rest was nice

My heart actually sank when Hawkins showed that straw doll of Kid because it felt so cheap to use a captain against his own crew, but Killer's reaction was so raw and painful to watch

I can't get over the animation in this episode and the way they handled Zoro and Sanji fighting together felt so earned. I know some people are annoyed about the translation calling them arms instead of wings, but seeing them both go all out made me forget all about that. Plus that ending with the giant pink dragon was such a cliffhanger

I can't believe how big Momonosuke is now and that pink dragon reveal at the end was such a great way to close out the episode because seeing him stand next to Luffy like that made the whole journey feel worth it and now they are actually ready to go back up and finish the fight against Kaido once and for all

Zoro bursting out of those bandages was the coolest thing and seeing him and Sanji stand together in the smoke after that big attack was such a moment

The size of that pink dragon at the end was massive and Momonosuke finally getting a grown up form is going to change everything for the fight on the roof

That Zoro and Sanji combo was absolute insanity and the animation looked so good when they finally hit King and Queen together

I actually felt so hyped when Hyogoro mentioned Zoro looks exactly like Ushimaru because the resemblance in that flashback was crazy and it feels like destiny

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 1046 lands deep in the Wano Country arc's raid on Onigashima, following escalating threats in Episode 1045 as the Straw Hats scattered to confront the Beasts Pirates' strongest officers. This episode channels momentum into Zoro and Sanji's individual battlefronts, marking a critical transition point where the crew's heavy hitters commit fully to the fights that will shape Wano's liberation. It sets the foundation for the decisive confrontations ahead, each outcome rippling toward the arc's climax.
