this is like a budget version of kill la kill but with way more adult scenes and the sentient apron has such a strange personality

you do not expect a crashed alien to turn into a piece of clothing while a couple is just trying to live their normal lives and the transition to the adult scenes happens so fast

the husband being a mad scientist with his weird experimental drugs in a small clinic is such a suspicious subplot and it adds a lot of mystery to their marriage

mika getting powers from an alien apron is the funniest way to start a show and seeing the thing crawl around her backyard was just so weird

Shinichi needs to stop working so much overtime because his wife is literally at home dealing with shapeshifting space creatures

That ending definitely makes it seem like the alien arrival and the medical experiments are linked in some dark way

I think the concept of an alien that lives in your wardrobe and becomes your clothes is hilarious and very different

Seeing Sayo have that reaction to the medicine was pretty intense for a first episode and I wonder what Shinichi is actually up to

My favorite part was the contrast between the normal clinic scenes and the chaos of Furuu landing in the garden, it really sets a weird tone for the rest of the series

The way this show jumps from Mika being a cute housewife to a full on sci-fi conspiracy with aliens and drugs is giving me whiplash

Who even is Seiya and why does he have a conspiracy already when the show just started
bounto_bane_479's avatar

I really felt for Mika trying to be a good wife and spoil her husband while he is stuck at the clinic working overtime all night and then a literal alien crashes into her life and it is such a strange mix of sweet domestic moments and bizarre sci-fi stuff, but the way Furuu transforms into her outfits is actually kind of funny

Mika finding an alien in her backyard and then it turns into her clothes is the weirdest start to a marriage ever

That experimental drug Shinichi is testing on Sayo feels like it is going to cause a lot of trouble later on

the christmas setting made the whole conspiracy plot feel way more festive than it had any right to be especially with that creepy drug subplot lingering in the background

watching dr shinichi mess around with that experimental drug while his wife deals with a shape shifting alien felt like two different shows mashed together in the best way

I really did not expect the plot to go from a crashed alien to a Christmas conspiracy this fast. The way Furuu just turns into her outfit is such a strange concept, but the animation during those scenes actually looks better than most modern stuff. Watching Mika try to navigate her husband's weird medical experiments, while wearing an alien, was definitely a choice.

that transformation scene on christmas eve was totally bizarre and the art style has that classic old school grit you only see in these late eighties ovas

I think the alien turning into a literal dress is the weirdest thing I have seen in a long time and the way Mika just accepts it is hilarious

that ending with the drug side effects was definitely something else and mika is in for it

EPISODE CONTEXT

With only two episodes in the entire series, this opener carries the full weight of world-building and character introduction. Everything — the premise, the key relationships, and the central erotic tension — is established here from scratch. Episode 2 will resolve what this episode sets in motion, so this is the essential foundation for the OVA's brief but complete story.
