Synopsis

Hiyori Iki is excited to start high school alongside her two middle school friends, but "Delivery God" Yato seems to have other plans for the day. Will Hiyori be able to make a good impression on her first day? Or will Yato cost her a happy high school life? On another day, Hiyori decides to take advantage of the beautiful weather and invites a number of people to gaze at the cherry blossoms, including the fearsome combat god, Bishamon. Unlike the first part, this focused more on the character relationships and lore from the series. The humor is toned down, but still very much intact. Without having watched the full series I was a bit lost here, but I did get a good sense of the deeper bonds between some of the characters. This in essence makes me want to go back and watch the full series.

What a crazy ride this was to watch. Mixing humor, teen hormones, gods, and sexual innuendo this OVA was fun to watch. Unfortunately, having never seen the original series I was quite lost in terms of characters and lore. I would only recommend this for fans of the original series.

Thing starts to happen without much sense. If you're a new user, for most of the episode you're not sure what and why is happening. The story moves too fast without a good buildup.

This episode really reminded me why I love this cast so much. Everyone plays off each other so well and the whole episode was just fun from start to finish. The comedy, the chaos, the soundtrack, wow, everything hit. Simple episode but honestly such a good time. OVAs can be so peak.
