I honestly didn't think a filler arc would go this hard but that two heartbeats trap was legitimately disturbing, especially when you realize it almost killed Naruto, and seeing what Orochimaru did to Arashi by merging him with those other ninjas was such a gut punch and it makes the village investigation feel way more important than your typical side story
