Sasori coming back in a filler dream is such a weird choice and it makes you want to get back to the actual war

The puppet fight was fine but the pacing is so slow and we have been in this dream arc forever

Tsunade is making such weird choices as Hokage in this version and it makes sense why people are so annoyed with her

Watching this made it feel like the Storm games are going to spoil the whole ending before this anime finishes because of all these filler episodes

Sasuke wanting to finish the mission and Shikamaru wanting to save people is a classic setup but doing it in a dream world feels cheap

I cant believe Sakura just pulled out medical ninjutsu from nowhere to save Sasuke and this filler logic is driving me crazy

Ugh, I seriously don't get why they're trying to frame Sasuke's whole village abandonment as just him wanting his dad's approval now; it completely undermines all the pain and complex reasons I thought he had before, making his character feel a bit watered down for me.

I was genuinely shocked watching Sakura land a hit on Sasori so effortlessly; I mean, he was literally raining down poison needles on her and she just moved through them like it was nothing, making me wonder just how much she'd improved since her training with Tsunade.

Sasuke, honestly, hearing you guys just stand there chatting while the entire world's crumbling outside of Tsunade's mind is actually making me scream internally. Don't you all grasp how dire the situation really is, or what's even at stake? I'm just sitting here thinking, 'move it, already!'

Another "rules and comrades" speech? My eyes practically rolled out of my head because I swear we've heard that exact same thing countless times. It just makes me wonder if the show thinks we've forgotten the basics and needs a constant reminder instead of pushing the plot forward.

Seriously, I'm just so tired of this book world filler already; it feels like we're completely stuck, and I keep asking myself when we're finally going to get back to the real war. I can't even get invested in Sasuke acting like such a brat or Sakura being randomly OP because none of this feels like it matters to the actual story that *I* care about.

When Jiraiya suddenly appeared, I honestly thought for a moment he was *really* back, and it sent such a wave of warmth through me, remembering all the lessons he taught Naruto. But then to have that reveal it was just a dream, and Naruto still went four-tails without any actual consequences? It just felt like such a gut punch, making me wonder if Naruto even got any real closure from it.

Waiting for Tsunade to finally wake up is driving me crazy; it's so hard to immerse myself in Jiraiya's past when the entire war is on hold. I just wish we could get back to the actual fighting because the present danger feels so much more urgent than these nostalgic detours, no matter how much history they reveal.

Wait, Sakura just breezing past Sasori's poison and then taking him out like it was nothing? My mind immediately flashed back to the brutal, near-death battle she and Lady Chiyo went through to defeat him for real, and honestly, this dream sequence felt like such a disservice to that legendary struggle. I couldn't help but feel a little annoyed at how easily it was all resolved here.

Ugh, I really didn't like how Sasuke was handled in this dream sequence; his jealousy towards Itachi and his dad just feels so out of character for him after everything he's been through, especially with how much he admired Itachi eventually. It just left me feeling annoyed, like the writers forgot his journey.

Sasuke nearly falling to Sasori's poison, even in a dream, made my breath catch in my throat—I swear my heart practically stopped for a second thinking about how close he came, yet again, to the edge. It was such a real-feeling moment that I just couldn't shake off the dread, remembering all the hardships he's already overcome.

My patience is really wearing thin with this episode; it felt like such a bait-and-switch getting to watch Naruto train with Jiraiya in that dream, only to realize how much old footage they're just recycling. I just can't shake the feeling that they're stalling for time, and it's making me so frustrated when all I want is some actual plot progression. Where's the new content?!

Sasori's poison techniques against Sasuke had me feeling uneasy, honestly, because I can't imagine many ninja, even powerful ones from earlier in the series, being able to counter that kind of brutal, debilitating attack. Seeing Sasuke struggle just made me realize how dangerous Sasori truly was, and it's wild to think about the havoc he could've wrecked on Konoha if he'd shown up during say, the chunin exams.

Ugh, I can't believe we're still stuck in this alternate universe filler when the actual war is going on. It's so annoying because I just want to see what's happening with the real story, and this just feels like it's dragging things out.

Jiraiya showing up totally tricked me, I genuinely thought for a second he was back and that gut punch of realizing it was just a dream left me feeling so bummed out. Like, come on, don't play with my heart like that! Then to see Sasuke get wrecked by Sasori's poison, that felt like a wild twist, making me question if these dream fillers are trying to pull some genuinely intense emotional punches on us.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Positioned at episode 438 of 500, this sits deep in Shippuden's final stretch of filler arcs that pad out the space before the series' canonical conclusion. It follows 'The Sealed Power' and continues the 'Jiraiya Shinobi Handbook: The Tale of Naruto the Hero' alternate-reality arc, building on prior trials to set up the next installment, 'The Child of Prophecy,' which pushes further into questions of destiny and choice. Viewers tracking only canon material can skip this entirely without losing narrative continuity.
