I couldn't help but feel a pit in my stomach watching Ajisai in this episode; knowing what eventually happens to her just makes every moment she's on screen so much more heartbreaking. It's like I'm seeing her through a tragic lens, and I just wish things could've turned out differently for her.

Ajisai’s words about Konan bringing so much hope honestly just settled like a heavy weight in my chest. It's hard to hear all that knowing the painful end to her fight for peace, and it makes me wonder what could have been different for her.

I was so hyped to finally see Tenten get a real power-up with that water scroll; it felt like such a long-overdue moment for her to truly shine, especially since her team missed out on the big Pain fight. It’s cool how they made it fit the timeline perfectly, finally giving her a significant, impactful scene.

Ajisai's backstory really caught me off guard, tying her so deeply to the Rain Village's history made this whole exam arc feel way more significant than I initially gave it credit for. I was starting to lose interest in the filler, but learning about her past gave me a new appreciation for what they're doing here.

Okay, I usually just skip through filler, but watching Tenten really step up and unleash that huge ocean jutsu was actually pretty awesome to see. It's cool to finally see her get a moment to shine and prove herself with something so powerful, you know?

I actually got pretty emotional seeing Tenten and Ajisai connect over their shared summoning abilities, it was such a nice change of pace to see these two, who usually aren't in the spotlight, really shine and get some much-deserved attention.

Ugh, my heart really went out to Ajisai, seeing her get so emotional over Konan just emphasized how deeply the Hidden Rain situation has scarred everyone, and it makes me wonder how any of them ever cope with that constant loss. It was actually a pretty unexpected moment to see Tenten finally step up and use that massive water scroll to get them out of those ruins since they were totally trapped, I was genuinely surprised by her taking charge.

Okay, I totally cheered when Tenten summoned that whole ocean, like, it was easily the coolest thing I've ever seen her do! She's always seemed to be in the background, so seeing her pull off something that huge felt like such a massive win for her, I bet it totally changed how she saw herself.

The Rain Village ninjas looking up to Pain and Konan with such intense hope, like they were their only salvation, really hit me with a wave of mixed emotions. I kept thinking about how heartbreaking it was to witness that complete devotion, knowing their trust was ultimately placed in a future that would bring nothing but destruction for them all.

I felt for Tenten, realizing how much she must compare herself to Neji and Lee; that kind of pressure has to be crushing. But then my jaw absolutely dropped when she pulled out that enormous water summoning, I truly wasn't expecting her to wield something so incredibly powerful!

I was genuinely surprised how well they wove the Hidden Rain team's story into everything, honestly; seeing the backstory for a character we only ever knew as a corpse actually felt pretty significant, and it makes me wonder how much more they could connect the dots like this.

Whoa, Tenten summoning a whole ocean inside that ruin completely caught me off guard! I always saw her as more of a support character, so seeing her pull off something that powerful really makes me wonder if she's been holding back this entire time and if she'll get more moments like this.

Tenten and Ajisai's tag team in the ruins was seriously awesome; I totally didn't expect them to click so well with their summoning styles. It actually made me think about how much hidden potential some of the side characters have when they're given a real chance to shine, and it was a blast watching them just dominate.

My jaw dropped when Tenten started unleashing with those scrolls; I swear, I always mentally shelved her as a support character, but she totally proved me wrong. It made me so happy to finally see her step up and just absolutely own her fight, showing she's been capable all along.

I seriously loved how Guy Sensei stepped up for Tenten when she was feeling totally overshadowed by Lee and Neji; it really showed me how much he genuinely cares about all his students, not just the 'talented' ones. It’s sweet to see him instill that confidence in her.

Tenten's sudden self-doubt about her skills kinda came out of left field for me, honestly. But then, when Guy sensei roared into action with his super intense pep talk, it completely sold me on why he's such a legend; his passion is just infectious, you know?

Tenten finally getting to cut loose with that massive seawater summon really got me excited, I loved seeing her unleash such a powerful move after all this time. My stomach just twisted watching her and Ajisai team up, knowing what a tragic end awaits Ajisai with Pain later makes their teamwork here feel so much heavier.

I was genuinely surprised by Tenten's quick thinking in this episode; her using those scrolls to capture all that seawater and then unleash it to escape the ruins was such a brilliant move. I've always seen her as more of a support character, but this really showed me she's got some serious tactical prowess when it counts.

Ajisai's pure hope for the Rain Village always catches me, especially when I remember she only wanted peace but became a pawn for Pain. It's such a gut punch to think about her, how someone genuinely striving for good gets warped into something so devastating; I still wonder if she secretly hated what she became.

Ajisai listing off all her dreams for the future just made me feel so much dread, knowing what's coming for her is beyond unfair. It really gets to me how many innocent people with simple hopes like hers were utterly destroyed by Pain's twisted ideals, even before we witnessed his full attack.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 405 sits deep in Shippuden's extended filler stretch that interrupts the Fourth Great Ninja War arc, placed within a non-canon Chunin Exams storyline. It follows 'Tenten's Troubles,' which established her personal stakes and introspection, and directly sets up 'The Place Where I Belong,' steering toward themes of identity and self-discovery. None of these episodes advance the manga-canon narrative, so they function as standalone character pieces for fans invested in side characters like Tenten.
