Guren stopping Kabuto was a huge moment for her character and seeing her choose Yukimaru over the mission makes her way more interesting than a typical villain

the giant turtle creating a whole tsunami to wreck the barrier was a great visual and it makes the three tails feel dangerous even if this whole arc is taking forever

Rock Lee going all out against those ninja around the barrier made the whole episode and the movement looked way better than typical filler quality

watching Kabuto manipulate everyone around him for these pills is getting old and the fight around the barrier feels like it is dragging on just to fill time

It surprised me how much I’m enjoying this filler arc because the dynamic between Guren and Yukimaru feels so genuine, especially when she defended him from Kabuto’s cruelty. The animation during the Rock Lee and Tenten fight sequences was actually quite sharp and made the struggle for the barrier feel meaningful instead of just another long stalling tactic before the real story

Kabuto is a complete monster for trying to force more pills on that kid, so seeing the Three-Tails go on a rampage feels like a fair consequence for his meddling

the way they drew the three tails when it rose out of the water was impressive and seeing it smash through the seal showed how strong it actually is

I didn't think I would care about Guren but seeing her stop Kabuto from giving Yukimaru those pills shows she has a heart for the kid

the three tails looked cool when it caused that massive tsunami and broke the seal but you can still tell this is a side story that doesn't matter for the main plot

my interest stayed high because Tenten and Lee actually got screen time to fight for the barrier instead of just standing in the background while Naruto does everything

I honestly felt a pang of sympathy for Guren when it hit her that she was the one who killed Yukimaru's mom; her face just totally dropped, and for a second there, I actually questioned everything I thought I knew about her loyalty to Orochimaru.

Orochimaru really stooped to a new low, manipulating a child's deepest pain to force out a tailed beast like that; I just can't wrap my head around how utterly twisted someone has to be to think that's okay, it makes me sick wondering what else he's capable of.

Yukimaru's constant manipulation for his power just gets to me; I mean, all the kid wants is a real home with Guren, and watching that genuine desire be twisted makes my stomach churn knowing he's just a pawn.

I was actually pretty surprised by how solid the animation was during the Three Tails' escape, especially for a filler episode; it really made me feel the scale of the danger. That massive wave crashing down on everyone had me genuinely worried about their survival, like wow, how are they gonna get out of that one?

I literally gasped when Kabuto brought up Guren's mom, like, that's just low, and seeing Guren's face fall like that really made me see how much power he has over her, it's gotta be tearing her apart inside.

Lee’s sheer determination trying to hold that barrier against the relentless rising water just floored me, I genuinely wondered how much more they could possibly take before getting completely submerged. It made me feel so helpless just watching them struggle, like they were fighting a losing battle they couldn't abandon.

Seeing Yukimaru just unleash that giant turtle beast with all his rage and sadness, man, I felt so bad for him; it's clear Orochimaru's got his hooks deep into that kid's pain, making him a total puppet.

The way that Three-Tails tsunami just swallowed everything after the barrier crumbled left me totally speechless, like, how could anyone even hope to survive something that immense? I can only imagine the sheer terror poor Guren and her squad must've felt watching that wall of water come for them, realizing all their efforts were probably for nothing.

Okay, so I know this arc is filler, but I'm really getting into Guren and Yukimaru's whole thing, which totally caught me off guard. It's wild seeing her protect him from Kabuto's drugs after she killed his mom – like, what even is that, my heart's doing acrobatics trying to figure out her deal. And the Three-Tails going wild and causing that tsunami was genuinely awesome, though terrifying.

Kabuto seriously went there, blackmailing Guren with that secret about Yukimaru's mom; it really solidified for me just how far he'll go. I can't help but wonder if anyone will ever actually manage to take him down for good.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 105 continues the anime-original Three-Tails filler arc, picking up directly after 'Breaking the Crystal Style' where the Konoha team gained momentum in their mission. This installment shifts focus to the enemy's countermeasures, escalating the conflict between Guren's forces and the Leaf shinobi. It sets the stage for 'Red Camellia,' which further develops the evolving power struggles and character dynamics on both sides of the confrontation.
