Synopsis
After enduring a previous boss who was genuinely awful — like, bad enough to cause real health problems — Kentarou Momose quit and walked away. Now he's 26, starting fresh at a new company, and bracing himself for more of the same. Except his new supervisor, Yuusei Shirosaki, is a competent, well-respected 34-year-old manager who also happens to be one of the most endearingly airheaded people alive. The guy trips over nothing, gets way too excited about office snacks, and somehow manages to disarm all of Momose's anxiety just by being himself. That's basically the show. This 12-episode TV series from A-1 Pictures is pure iyashikei — healing anime set in a mundane office where the biggest conflict is whether Momose can learn to trust that not every workplace is toxic. There's no dramatic villain arc or romance subplot driving things forward. It's just warm, quiet moments between coworkers, watching someone slowly recover from a bad situation because the people around him are decent. The comedy lands because Shirosaki's goofiness never undermines his competence — he's genuinely good at his job, which makes the contrast funnier and more reassuring. If you liked the adult workplace energy of Wotakoi or Servant x Service but want something even more low-key, this fits. It's closer to Aggretsuko's emotional honesty about work trauma, minus the death metal. A good pick for when you want something gentle that respects your time and doesn't ask much of you except to sit there and feel a little better about things.

irisout★★★★★VerifiedEP 12i was dreading the end of such a cute show / season... the bittersweetness and inner conflict were paced very well throughout the season, but dang did it make me so sad and emotional to see how domestic and used to each other momose and shirosaki have become (and don't forget hakutou!). the final gathering between our main cast was also so cute and fun - currently an anime only but i wonder if there's more to come for this show because i'd love to see more developments (hopefully romantic cause the undertones are sooo visible...)
irisout★★★★★VerifiedEP 11everytime hakutou has a part in an episode you know it's going to be peak! he's so adorable and every time he gets sad i get so so emotional... my son... it really feels like momose and shirosaki are his dads and i really hope momose ends up still living together with them!!
irisout★★★★★VerifiedEP 10fun little change of pace to little skits - i imagine this is an adaptation of the manga sections where there are columns of short moments (not sure what you call them though). it suits this show really well! our little group is so cute and why do these little roommate hangouts between momose and shirosaki feel like a date??? i swear if this was a situation i was in i'd be asking what are we....
bforbesfw_0416★★★★★AnimeI loved watching this anime! I would rewatch this every time I feel stressed, and I extremely relate to the main character about being tired of their toxic workplace. It's a fun, light-hearted anime for those who needed a good laugh.
