Rewatching this 2026. The episode was bittersweet. The mellow tone and the beautiful animation fit perfectly. Miyo's backstory was somber and miserable, even the life she's currently facing was melancholic. The music was sentimental as well. Overall, an engaging and an emotional start.

I feel bad for Miyo and how her family treats her. I wonder how will Kudo Kiyoka treat her now that she is under his care. As for the anime, the animation is nice and the pacing is just right. I can't wait to see what is in store for the next episodes.

The start of Miyo’s story is so heartbreaking. Seeing how her stepmother and sister treat her like a servant made me so angry! I really hope Kiyoka Kudo is better than the rumors say. The art style is absolutely stunning and so dreamy

Sets up a woman from a harsh family background entering an arranged marriage. The pacing is slow, but it builds quiet curiosity about what comes next. A good pick for fans of soft, slow-burning romance.

A captivating debut! Miyo's tragic backstory draws you in instantly. Her meeting with Kiyoka sparks genuine chemistry. Family mistreatment feels painfully authentic. The setup for their romance is compelling and beautifully established.

The animation impressed me at the first episode itself- pure eye candy! But seeing Miyo’s plight is heartbreaking which makes you root for her instantly. It’s a slow-burn, emotional setup that feels like 'Cinderella' type vibes!

It captivates you showing you how they treat the main character and how you can either relate or root for her. As well as you keep on watching since you wanna continue to see what happens to her.

EPISODE CONTEXT

As the first of twelve episodes, 'The Meeting' is pure setup — it exists to make you feel the full weight of Miyo's circumstances before her life begins to shift. Everything introduced here, from the family power dynamics to Miyo's suppressed sense of self-worth, serves as the emotional baseline against which the entire season's romance and growth will be measured. The arranged marriage that drives the series forward is positioned as the catalyst that pulls Miyo out of this suffocating environment.
