Seven years ago, a mermaid princess named Lucia saved a drowning boy and left him her magical pearl. Now she needs it back, which means doing the obvious thing: enrolling in a human high school. The boy, Kaito, has grown into a teenage surfer who has no idea the girl sitting next to him in class is the same mermaid from his childhood. And she can't tell him, because mermaid law says revealing your identity to a human means turning into sea foam. So yeah, that complicates the romance a bit.
