Meiji Tokyo Renka

Waaaaa we've finally reached the end. Personally it's lowkey something I didn't expect which is good as anything predictable isn't always the best. I would have loved to see more of the other guys as they all have their own charms and quirks. I think this show is probably good for those who are thinking of getting into the game but maybe aren't so patient too sit through the whole gameplay. It's also nice to see how Mei's character has developed in the end. Overall, a good series that I enjoyed and would recommend to someone if they want to kill time or something as it's pretty short.

I personally thought Taikan's appearance made the atmosphere of the episode more lively and I think he's a funny character even though he's not a main character. We also got more Syunso lore so I guess he's another character the show features more besides Mori. However, I think this is a bit of a disadvantage for people who may be more drawn to other characters other than those two lol.

Through this episode, we get to see a more imperfect side of Mori as I felt he was always portrayed as this charming, prince like character so, it was good that they highlighted other sides of him. I guess this episode has a lot more Mori lore so it's a good episode to get a bit more perspective into his character.

I think this is where we get to see that the focus is really on Mori and Mei. I also thought it was where Mei has started to face her feelings towards Mori. I personally think the romance aspect is showing a lot more in this episode.

I absolutely loved how we got to see Fujita more in this episode as I felt there's always a sense of mystery surrounding his character. His domestic and somewhat motherly charm is really nice and unexpected (in a good way). It was also nice to see all of them interacting together making it feel lively and funny.

There was a bit more action in this episode compared to the others. I think it was also nice to see Mori worried for Mei. However, I think at this point it's very clear she'll end up with Mori so I think involving other guys is a bit...confusing I guess. I understand this is from an otome game I think where there are different routes for the characters but they could have just used this anime to focus on Mori lol (ps. I have not played the game)

I found the random song quite cute in my opinion lol. It certainly is very random but it made the episode quite memorable. I like how we're getting to see more of the guys interact with each other and how they feel towards Mei. So far it's a pretty enjoyable show for me.

I like how they showed more of Otojiro and his different sides, I think he's a pretty interessting character. I think they are starting to have more fanservice as I felt it was significantly a lot more than the previous episodes. I also loved the chaotic scenes in this episode.

We finally at the end of the series. I always knew there will be that scene where Mei have a one-on-on with each of the MLs, and I personally think it's quite cute. I had a feeling this is the ending they'll gun for, and it's great they didn't give us a cope out and actually shows one of the ending of the VN. I personally find this ending sweet, as Mei grew and so are the MLs. Overall a good romance anime to watch if you have time.

I'm sorry, I'm pissed, Mei is written so bad this episode, I cringed the whole way through. What do you mean you'll search for the cat every day and night, when you get distracted and prioritized EVERYTHING else beside the cat for almost a month now, and we saw her doing it. Make her apologize and get the consequences of her action, please. And that ending, I know where it led to, especially after the VN, so the surprise element is gone now. But either way, everything feels like a cope out to tie whatever plotline they choose to put in here, which makes Brother Conflict feel like it's written better than this.

This is the best written episode, even with no build up whatsoever, I personally this is the best they can do. I really like how Mei stubborness comes into view as we see her never giving up on Mori, which is sweet. I still hate that Shunsou only have crumbs, and we're already at the last episodes. Again, I feel it's unfair to the other characters, but understand because this is probably just a marketing to the VN. I don't know how to feel to be honest, I just hope they tied up everything before it ends.

This was filled with Mei and Mori's relationship, especially with the time ticking. The whole episode is okay, except for that ending because what? They really did that, with Mei? Really? I thought we'll have more. Then again, there's still 3 more episodes to go. But the end scene with Mori definitely raised some questions. For the animation, Charlie's exit was so bad, I had Blue Lock flashback lol. Either way, I hope they tie that black cat plot line fast, because what do you mean it's still not done yet?!

I think this might be my favorite episode so far. I really like the light atmosphere that's still has some character story woven into it in the form of Fujita's backstory, kind of. We get to see the characters interact with one and another, which is always fun, and the romance is definitely felt, even if it's subtle. And also no strange dancing chibi too this time, so that's a plus.

This episode started with a somber note, and it felt unfinished. I understand that this anime is mostly to bring people into the VN, but seeing that they dedicated so small time for Kyouka, even smaller than they did with Yakumo left a slight bitter taste in my mouth. This is because, despite Kyouka being in the center of this episode, the spotlight is still around Mei and Mori's relationship. I hope they either put more effort for the other character, or focused on one (Mori) instead.

Ugh, I'm sorry, that sing-a-long scene was cringe enough I had to put down the score because it came out of nowhere and isn't that good. I thought that part we'll be getting the resolution which Mori asked Mei to do a presentation in prior episode. Other than that, everything feels standard, the animation and the writing are okay, there's not a lot of fanservice like the previous episode. I hope we finally resolute some of the plotline, please.

I had to pause several times in this episode because they ramped up the fanservice, not that I minded lol. Beside that, I also had to hold my breath because I think I found my favorite character, Kyouka, as I always has a soft spot for tsundere characters. This story expanded more on Otojirou, but they're also setting up for something big in the upcoming episode!

After this episode, I feel like we have three open plot, which both intrigued and scared me, whether the anime could solve them all in twelve episodes or not. We have Shunsou, Otojirou, and Mori's plot all still wide open. I feel like this episode we get to see more about Mori, despite having Otojirou at the vocal point. That ending is also interesting, to say the least.

I really enjoy this episode, as it explored Mei's ability to see ghost, but it doesn't connect from the previous episode, which is a bit sad. Instead we get to see some familiar faces, with Yakumo as the person explored this episode. From how the people are acting, I have a feeling we're heading for Mori's route, which is fun. I hope we get to see other characters as well!

I thought this episode is cute, we get to see Mori Ougai and Mei having one on one time together. It's cute to see them together as well as how Mori Ougai looks at her like she hung the moon or something lol. I think this is a good way to sort of build on to their chemistry more because I lowkey find them super cute together lol.

If we're still in a traditional VN sense, we probably haven't gotten into any route yet, and is still getting to know everyone, which is great because it means everyone will get their moments later on. We first explored a bit of Shunsou, the art student, in this episode. Hoping they'll continue in the next one!
