I think that reply from the first adventurer during the princess' speech encapsulate it all. "She's ethereal." because that's all it took, I guess? With her Charisma modifier +5, I guess she could even moe moe kyun her way, especially since the players are probably otakus lol. Again, this character is unnecessary, unless if it's for Krusty's love interest (But that's weird, especially after he said she's similar to his little sister and all) She's endangering herself, making whatever the commotion in the noble faction back at the castle too. Again, I don't know why the writing took a turn like this.

The speech made by Princess Raynesia is straightforward and honest, an earnest request to fight with her in the name of good will and freedom of the adventurers.
P.S. The 5 wolf head characters shown during her speech is a nod to the band that performed the opening of the anime

Not an episode to skip. This episode shows exactly the set up needed for the upcoming war. Great speech by the Princess, it's really brave of her so another good character development here!

You definitely should not skip this episode. There were moments that would give you goosebumps. The character designs were really good. The hype now is at its peak as we are getting closer to the big fight.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 18 lands past the season's midpoint and serves as the critical turning point in the goblin invasion arc — following Lenessia's internal struggle in 'A Lazy, Cowardly Princess,' this episode converts her hesitation into decisive action. It functions as the bridge between political maneuvering and the large-scale military response that 'Chasing After Them' and subsequent episodes will deliver. With seven episodes remaining, this is where Log Horizon transitions from strategy phase to execution phase.
