QUICK TAKES

Beginning is fine.
It seems it will be heavy on dialogue for most of the series.
But it is interesting because it makes me curious about what her next move will be.
Overall – Introductions, 8/10

Disclaimer; i've completed the manga series before.
My 1st take seeing the anime adaptation really give joy to my thriller crime passion, visual wise it's not that special just like a AOT (vibe) or older GTO.
But what sell me is the story and pacing is well explained here too,
The japanese VA and English VA is also quite good to sell me the character of gullible FMC and anti hero Kanzaki.
Ost is simple and thematic imho, not that over the top ala modern shounen style.
Minus for me, they should've animate the facial expression bit better.. this just tad bit lacking.
Still overall, kanzaki vibes here and the nao pair 79/100

the animation style looks really unique, kind of the same as Junji Ito? it just really has a scary vibe to it that i automatically dig!
squid game ahh series. girl i think u forgot the B in the lgt
SHE HAS THE CRITICAL THINKING AND DECISION MAKING OF A NEW BORN BABY OHMYGODJHDF I LOWKEY HATE AND PITY HER AHSAHSHASHAH
i would have immediately locked in bro

Good episodes

Having seen the introduction of our main character and how she interacted with others, I already know what will happen to her in the rest of the scenes. I guess it's necessary for character development and build up the story as we progress. Interesting start nonetheless, I like it so far.

A compelling start that hooks you with its psychological tension. The contrast between Nao’s innocence and the ruthless game design makes you want to see how she’ll survive the next round.

EPISODE CONTEXT
As the series premiere, this episode exists entirely in setup mode — there is nothing before it, and everything after it depends on what it establishes here. It introduces the Liar Game tournament's core rules, plants Nao and Akiyama as an unlikely partnership, and frames the central tension that will drive every subsequent episode. Consider this the contract the show makes with its audience.
