In this episode we got a glimpse of how Ichijo came to be the casino's manager by sacrificing his dignity in order to rise to the top. The pace for this episode is slower. Even though the past of Ichigo is shown, however I think it was not necessary during the peak of the battle.

As Kaiji's ball supply becomes depleted, the animators ensure that I also feel the intense buildup through the character's desperation, the pulsing music, the jagged art style and the high stakes plot.
