Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 5: Curse Womb Must Die II

This is an emotion filled episode, where we see each character, feels about the "death" of Itadori. It was beautiful to see, where Fushiguro, care for him steams from. However, I thought, I needed more from the fight between Fushiguro and Sukuna, but later realized that the reason Fushiguro, was holding back was because of how he was feeling and was visible in the scene - as viewer, that really changed my perspective on fight scenes.

Additionally, I loved how intense the colors where in this episode, imagery seemed a lot sharper, which was easy on the eyes, even though the episode, was a little bit gloomy.

Episode 5 of Jujutsu Kaisen focuses on the aftermath of the battle and deeper character development, especially Yuji’s struggle with his situation. It builds emotion, strengthens team dynamics, and sets up future conflicts.

Episode 5 delivers intense action as Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara face a Special Grade curse. Yuji’s growth is highlighted when he takes on the curse under extreme pressure. The episode is fast-paced with strong animation and emotional impact.

Seeing Itadori die shocked me, I didn't know if he was actually dead but the episode surprised me. Being able to see other jujutsu high students was also refreshing.

Coming off the chaos of the last episode, the tone shifts into something way more intense and grounded, yet it still hooks you immediately. The animation from MAPPA is, as always, a total flex.

This ep is a pure roller coaster, and I’m completely here for it.
