In the Clear Moonlit Dusk Episode 2: The Evening Downpour and the Cat

Oh no, somehow I think the animation went even worse than before. The art looks off once they move, especially the face. And the movement is so minimalistic I feel like it'll better for fans of this series to read the manga instead because Yamamori-sensei's artwork is really good. I have a feeling they want to recreate A Sign of Affection art, but failed to deliver it. The story is slow, which is something I like, but the art kept distracting me, which is annoying. Again, hoping for them to imrpove!

Uhm dua orang ini kok dewasa banget. Emotional maturity? Checked. Clear communication? Checked. Jarang banget ketemu karakter anak SMA yang kek gini, tapi ini yang buat Kohaku sama Yoi bagus banget. Episode ini hot and cold bersamaan.

12:28 Absolutely beautiful! It was here that I truly felt the same magic and vibe as the manga. I liked this episode more than the previous one; I take back what I said about the animation falling a bit short, there was a noticeable improvement in that regard here.

Narratively, the emotional impact deepens as the burden of social expectations weighing on the protagonist is revealed. It definitely left me feeling all warm inside.

Oh man, Kohaku is really something. He has the emotional maturity to understand why he might be in the wrong, even if he isn’t. I like that they changed the character’s style a little bit in this episode, and Yoi looks a bit more feminine with that look. I think Kohaku centers his feelings a bit too much on the curiosity he has, but I guess that’s part of the plot, since his feelings are only developing now. I wonder why Yoi behaves like a prince even though she wants to be treated like a princess; maybe it’s just what she feels she has to do to meet the world’s expectations. Damn, the anime is moving quickly. I like that; I hate the “will they, won’t they” crap that every anime has us accustomed to.
