The anime really went a different way from the game by making the father such a huge creep, and it makes the whole thing feel so much more hopeless than it needed to be

My heart sank when they showed Takedo finding out about Yumi and his father because it explains why he became such a monster but it still does not make his actions okay

It makes no sense why Yukie did not just take her kids and run the second things got that bad instead of letting Takedo keep doing what he wanted for so long

Watching Yumi just stand there and help the father keep his grip on that family was the most disgusting part of this whole finale and her lack of remorse is actually terrifying

I really hated how the ending just kind of stopped without any real justice because seeing those sisters just give up was way too depressing and the father getting away with everything feels wrong

The reckoning wasn't even a reckoning for the bad guys and it just left everyone in a miserable spot which is typical for these older dark stories but still feels bad

The way the son treats the accident like a game is messed up, and seeing the finale double down on that power trip was just a lot to handle.

Watching the sisters lose their dignity while the father and son competed was just too much and the conclusion didn't offer any real closure for what they went through

Everything about the way this ended felt so cynical and dark because there was no justice at all and the villains just kept their power over the whole family

The final scene with Yukie just broke my heart because she looks so vacant and lost while Takedo acts like he won some kind of prize and it made my stomach turn

It is hard to watch the mother give up on herself, especially when you realize the daughters are already following in her footsteps and the cycle just keeps going.

You can tell this is an old ELF story because it refuses to give any of these women a break and just doubles down on the misery right until the credits roll

I finished the last episode and the whole thing just left me feeling cold and weirded out because of how the Kitazawa sisters were treated and the ending didnt even feel like a proper conclusion for them but more like they were just completely broken and I really expected Yumi to turn on the old man but that never actually happened

The way Yumi just stood there and watched it all happen in the end really sucked because you keep hoping she will do something but she is just as trapped as the rest of them

I hated seeing how Rumi and Tomoko ended up in this finale because the father and son just got away with everything and it felt so depressing and gross

I expected some kind of escape for the Kitazawa women, but seeing them completely succumb to the Nogawa influence by the end of this third night was heavy. The series really leans into that hopeless atmosphere where money and contracts trump everything else, and it makes the final scenes where they stop resisting feel especially bleak compared to the start

The way this show ends without any real justice for the daughters is frustrating and the whole reckoning felt more like a victory for the villains than a resolution

That classic 2001 animation style really makes the darker scenes feel grimy and the ending left a bad taste because nobody actually got away from the Nogawa family

I hated how Yukie lost all her agency by the time the credits rolled and watching her spirit break under that contract was legitimately disturbing

Seeing the father and son push the Kitazawa family to the breaking point in this finale was incredibly dark and the way the power dynamics shifted at the end stayed with me

EPISODE CONTEXT

This is the series finale, arriving after two episodes that steadily dismantled boundaries around consent, power, and emotional vulnerability. Episode 2 pushed the central relationships into morally compromised territory, and Episode 3 serves as the reckoning — bringing those threads to their conclusion rather than extending them. There is no next episode; what happens here is the series' final statement on its themes.
