More of Gon’s recklessness, except this time it bites him. Hope he learns he need to think first before doing something. Still, it cool though. Killua and Wing were worried about Gon Kurapika shows up at the end. I can already tell where his story’s headed. No class Nen for this episode so can enjoy the episode without too much thinking!

A really good episode with a more intense fight where Gon Freecss stays smart and strategic even without using Nen. He sticks to his promise to Wing, which makes it feel more real and satisfying.

I like how their abilities develop gradually instead of instantly. It feels more realistic, especially after Gon’s fight with Gido. Winning through sheer willpower alone would’ve been absurd.

This episode once again showcases Gon’s stubbornness, lol. The story continues to expand its lore while shifting perspectives, giving us a broader understanding of what’s happening.

This episode is more dialogue-heavy, focusing on discovering the MCs’ potential. It’s a slow-burn development, which makes their growth feel more grounded and realistic

Hisoka looked like proud father when Gon managed to dodge all attacks lol

In Episode 30, Gon uses a Nen principle without even knowing it, amazing but worrying Wing. The animation isn’t great here, especially when Killos scolds him, Its just zoom-ins effect.

This episode was amazing. Kurapika finally takes on Uvogin, and you can feel the tension in every move. His chains versus Uvogin’s raw strength make the fight so intense, and I was hooked the whole time, waiting to see if Kurapika would pull it off.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Positioned at episode 30 of 148, this falls squarely in the Heavens Arena arc, where Gon and Killua transition from learning Nen fundamentals to applying them under real combat pressure. It directly follows episodes focused on Nen training and awakening, serving as the first practical test of everything the boys have been taught. This episode establishes the stakes and combat framework that will escalate throughout the remainder of the arc and carry forward into the series' increasingly dangerous challenges.
