Un gran episodio, ver como todo el tiempo están siendo evaluado es increíble. Además que los retos no son sencillos pero Gon siempre demuestra una forma interesante de ver todo.

Two different challenges faced by Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio. In this episode, we see how smart Kurapika is, how calm Gon is, and how foolish Leorio can be. But I’m still enjoying the adventure part of this episode.

Why does this episode feel like a trap… inside another trap? 😅It’s a masterclass in shifting the stakes and I love how it tests brains over strength. The riddle scene still annoys me (in a good way). Slow burn, but don’t skip—this is where the exam mindset really kicks in.

This episode highlighted each character's unique skills really well. I like how they complement each other, covering each other’s weaknesses while still standing strong on their own.

This was such a great episode. The riddles were thought-provoking and kept me guessing the whole time. It also did a great job showcasing the different traits and personalities of the trio.

I really loved this episode. The riddles and twists made me think a lot, and the teamwork between the three felt natural and smooth. It was both engaging and satisfying to watch.

Gon is being stubborn in the best way. Dude gets thrown into chaos, handles it like a boss, and somehow still finds time to be kind and loyal. Such a small moment, but bro's already main character-ing all over the place.

A quieter episode, but in the best way: it gives small moments room to breathe so the characters start to feel like real people. You get a clearer sense of who they are, and that foundation makes later stakes matter more. Slow build, but worthwhile if you care about character.

Episode 2 gives them insight into what they should prepare. The dialogue gives a foreshadowing of what will happen in the future. They met the Navigators, who tested them to see if they were worthy to take the Exam. The animation quality remains consistent.

This was very touching, The way he left, if only they did a proper goodbye. But he is on his own now when he just 12?

The episode did a great job to highlight the individual strengths of the main characters. They made sure that they all get their own spotlight on passing this exam. I really like how hilarious Leorio is and the dynamic between him and Kurapika made it look like a tsukkomi joke.

Aspiring Hunters face the first phase of a brutal qualification exam, where endurance and composure matter more than strength. Alliances begin forming, tension rises, and the true scale of the challenge becomes clear as only the mentally prepared can keep up.

the trio barely makes it to the exam site and the journey there is already full of tests.

In Hunter x Hunter Episode 2, Gon boards a boat to take the Hunter Exam and meets three potential allies: Killua, a mysterious boy from a dangerous family, Leorio, a medical student, and Kurapika, the last living member of a fallen tribe. Tensions rise as they approach the exam.

This episode teaches me mental discipline, composure, and adaptive thinking, can't believe that I learn all of these from anime.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off the introductions and departures of Episode 1, this is the first taste of what the Hunter Exam actually demands — establishing that intelligence and moral conviction matter as much as fighting ability. It's early foundation-laying in a 148-episode run, but the trio dynamics and thematic stakes seeded here carry through the entire series. The escalating difficulty sets the stage for even more grueling trials ahead as the candidates close in on the official exam.
