Summer Heat! ☀️ The pool episode we’ve been waiting for, but of course, the Kimengumi turns it into a synchronized swimming nightmare. Rei’s "Human Fountain" move is burned into my brain! 🏊‍♂️

This episode was supposedly a high-stake character development for Kiyoshi. Nevertheless, getting tired of the stiff animation. If the studio focused on the animation, somehow it will coped on what's lacking in this series, particularly the direction of where this is going.

Another nice episode. Very funny, very engaging, the pacing was alright, felt like it was more intentional.

it's really surprising that Fujita was trying to give him a chance by listening to him each and every time when he calls her to propose. Just so damn silly honestly.

I thought it would be mildly amusing. It ended up being way funnier than it had any right to be. Because sometimes nonsense is just peak.

I’m not sure why I’m still watching, but it’s oddly easy to consume. The humor is simple and repetitive, yet it works as background comfort. It’s the kind of episode that doesn’t demand much but still entertains. And the art is nice so no complain here.

Why are they this stupid every single episode and yet I’m still here. I cannot defend them anymore but I also will not stop watching. Pack it up dignity.

High School! Kimengumi (2026) is a spirited comedy remake that offers pure, chaotic amusement for fans of old-school anime humor.
This series works best for audiences who enjoy energetic, unserious entertainment and nostalgic humor.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting just past the midpoint of this 12-episode season, Episode 7 continues the pattern established after Episode 6's focus on Gou's vulnerability, the series is methodically rotating its ensemble cast into the spotlight to deepen individual backstories. Kiri and Kiyoshi take center stage here, broadening the relational dynamics beyond the core group and laying groundwork for comedic and romantic threads likely to pay off in the season's back half.
